HURRICANE HELP. Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide is hosting Thanksgiving for the 4-Legged Victims of Hurricane Sandy. It is estimated that 3,000-6,000 pets are in need of food and shelter because of the storm Donation jars will be set up in stores and veterinarian offices. The quilts are simple, machine pieced and hand-tied and are excellent projects for both new and more experienced quilters. No sewing skills necessary. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines but machines also will be available onsite. Volunteers who don’t want to sew can still serve as cutters and pressers.
