FARM & AGRICULTURE Farm Products & Produce Engineering Services Supervisor Trainee Job # CO 6003693 Mountain View Electric Association (MVEA) is actively seeking an Engineering Services Supervisor Trainee for our Falcon Operations Center located at the eastern edge of Colorado Springs. The Engineering Services Supervisor Trainee will be an apprenticeship position being trained in the supervision of a variety of engineering tasks, including, but not limited to construction and retirements of the electric system. The ideal candidate must have the ability to supervise a group of employees, build and maintain good employee teams and customer relations, have an understanding of the electric distribution system, experience with office and engineering software, ability to read, interpret and understand construction specifications, safety rules, procedure manuals, easements and legal descriptions. Must be a self-motivated individual with a high level of accuracy and the ability to analyze and draw conclusions. Candidate must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Applicant must have a valid Colorado driver’s license and a current First Aid and CPR card. Applicant must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and pre-employment physical in addition to random drug/alcohol testing and background check. Must be 18 years of age or older; be a high school graduate or possess a Certificate of Equivalency (GED). Five years related utility experience is required.
