fresh mindset

Being in the Air Force is one of the best things I have done for myself and my daughter. Just as I have grown as a leader in the Air Force, I have also grown as a parent. I believe leadership and parenting have many similarities. Both are about creating an atmosphere that brings out the best in people.

LORI HODGE is a mother of an 11-year-old daughter and a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. She comes from a family dedicated to military service and was recently assigned to the Space Training and Readiness Command in Colorado Springs.
