CUTT ING T ECHNIQUE WET CUT

STAR SHAPE

CENTER BACK

Create a star shaped pattern on the top of the head, sectioning and clipping oﬀ each “ray”. Also section and clip from the center of the ear forward.

Starting in the center back, pull hair straight out from the head and cut desired length. Moving toward the left, take another vertical section and direct into the previously cut section. Continue moving toward the left ear, repeating the previous step and stopping at the ear. On the right side repeat the above steps.

Release the right side ear section. Comb diagonally back into the previous section and cut any remaining length.

Parietal Ridge (where the comb leaves the head)

After the hair is dry (blow dry) and smooth (ﬂat iron), section from above the parietal ridge on the right side diagonally back to the right ear.

Repeat in the fringe (bang area) area as well as on the opposite side,

Clip top hair away. Keeping hair in the comb and establishing the line and length, cut the hair. Adjust the cut line necessary.

Moving into the nape (back of the neck) area, customize the length and shape

On the top area, begin taking vertical sections and cut to remove weight. Add movement as desired throughout the hair shape, slicing as needed to deﬁne the star pattern.

Begin by creating a circle on the crown of the head.

On the remaining hair not in clip apply (2) Keratonz Yellow Passion. Overlay with foil.

Create a total of 5 rays, or upside-down triangles, around the circle. Each ray travels to just below the parietal ridge. Clip away.

Release the rays and apply (3) Keratonz Blue Magic.

Process the hair for 20 minutes (apply heat while processing for more colour vibrancy)

RINSE AND SHAMPOOING • Rinse the colour thoroughly with luke warm water sneezing the ends to ensure all colour has been removed and remove all extra water. • Apply shampoo using circular motions to massage the scalp creating a lather, rinse using luke warm water, squeezing the ends to remove extra water. • Apply conditioner concentrating on the tips of the hair, rinse thoroughly using luke warm water. • Proceed to use a hair mask (if the hair has any damage this step is recommended) leave the hair mask on for 5 to 10 minutes proceed to rinse thoroughly using luke warm water.

FINISHING OF F Workup the hair by applying hair serum and blowing it out using a round thermal brush.

COLOUR T ECHNIQUE

• Section the hair in 4 quadrants. Using the root touch up technique apply Keratonz Red Magic to all the roots of the hair. • Once the colour is on all the roots use a wide tooth comb to loosely comb down the colour. Comb it down until the colour reaches the eyebrow of the client. • Taking small sections apply Keratonz Tangerine to the mid shafts of the hair. Again use your wide tooth comb to loosely comb it down about 1-2 inches. Leaving the last 2 inches of the hair uncoloured. • Apply Keratonz Tangerine to the last 2 inches of the hair. Make sure all the hair is fully saturated with colour. • Apply a processing cap to the head. PROCESSING TIME: 20 Minutes (use heat to help increase vibrancy)

• Remove processing cap and rinse hair with cool water. Cool water will help prevent the colours from bleeding into each other. While rinsing, do not rub or massage the hair just rinse really well until the water runs clear or almost clear. • Shampoo twice and rinse and apply conditioner from the tips to the roots rinsing thoroughly. • Towel Blot the hair and apply a Hair Mask from roots to ends. Use a comb to ensure product is evenly distributed through hair. • Apply a processing cap and let stand for 5-7 minutes. (If hair is damaged apply heat for 20 minutes)

RINSE AND SHAMPOOING FINISHING OF F

• Remove processing cap and rinse hair very well with cool water.

• Towel blot hair and apply Hair Serum from roots to ends, using a comb ensure the product is applied to all the hair evenly. • Proceed to use a thermal round brush to blow dry – ﬂat iron to smooth the hair. Complete by styling as desired.

â&#x20AC;˘ Using the Balayage technique pre-lighten the hair. Starting at the nape of the neck take 1-inch thick horizontal sections and paint Lightener + 40 Volume Developer on the hair with your colour brush. Use saran wrap over each section to help prevent colour bleeding and to incubate the heat. â&#x20AC;˘ Repeat this process on the entire head. PROCESSING TIME: 30-40 minutes (use heat to enhance lightening) Colorplex is best used when pre-lightening the hair. It helps ensure the integrity of the hair is kept. Refer to Colorplex manual if you choose to use it in your lightening mixture.

• Remove saran wrap from hair and rinse lightener oﬀ. Shampoo twice, rinse proceed to apply conditioner and rinse. Towel dry the hair and apply Hair Serum to speed up dry time. • Power dry the hair. • Section the hair into quadrants and use your root touch up technique to apply Keratonz Romantic Purple on all roots of the hair. • When the roots are saturated with colour take a wide tooth comb and loosely comb colour mixture down into the hair. • Starting at the nape of the neck take thin sections and apply 2 oz. Keratonz Shining Silver + 2 oz. Keratonz White on mid shafts to ends of hair. Make sure hair is fully saturated with colour mixture. • Apply a processing cap to the hair.

PROCESSING TIME: 20 minutes (use heat to enhance vibrancy)

• Remove processing cap and rinse hair with cool water. Do not massage or rub hair. Make sure the colour is rinsed out very well. • Shampoo twice with Keratonz Colour Lock Shampoo and rinse very well. • Apply Keratonz Shining Silver Colour Mask from roots to ends of hair. Use a comb to ensure even application. • Apply a processing cap and allow client so sit under the dryer for 15-20 minutes.

CUTT ING T ECHNIQUE WET CUT:

• Begin by section the hair into the 5 sections. • The starting point will be right above the right ear (the right pannel), take a vertical diagonal forward section. Over-direct back and cut a subtle graduated line at the desired length. • Proceed with the same sections until the front hairline is reached. • Moving into the nape area (back of the head near hairline) at the low panel in the back, take a vertical diagonal back section starting at the hair line behind the ear (mastoid). Cut by connecting to the previously cut panel. Elevate the hair 90 degree and crate a concave layer to maintain length in the back, over-directing to the right. • Continue to over-direct the sections one after the other to the right until all the hair has been cut. This will create a heavier balance towards the left. Repeat on the left side, checking for balance. • In the nape area (back of the head at the hair line), sections crisscross to create a narrow peak of weight down the center back. • In the section above the occipital bone, starting in the center, take vertical diagonal forward section and over-direct straight back. Elevate at 90 degrees, cutting a layer to remove weight at the crown and create a more head-hugging silhouette. Continue until all sections have been brought back. • On the top section, create a vertical “Mohawk” Section in the center. Over-direct to the back, connecting to underneath section to create shorter lengths in the crown and longer lengths in the front. • Over-direct hair to the center for remaining sections. • In fringe area (bang area), over-direct to the opposite side and cut the hair to create a soft, sweepy fringe. • Blow dry the hair and shape using a thermal round brush to add volume. Then smooth the hair with a ﬂat iron.

DRY CUT:

• Begin to personalize the nape area and remove additional weight, creating added movement as desired throughout the hair shape. • Complete the style with Hair Serum giving the hair shine and protection.

• Begin by sectioning two rectangular sections. The first one is off-centered to the left, and the next is off-centered toward the back on the round of the head. Begin pre-lightened the rectangles using the Platinum Card technique and formula (1) Lightener + 10 Volume Developer. • On the remaining hair, apply formula (2) 1 oz. 6.56 + 1 oz. 3.0 + 1/4 oz. Mix-Red + ¼ oz. Mix-Violet + 3.75 oz. 10 Volume Developer. PROCESSING TIME: 20 minutes. • Once hair is dry, apply formula (3) Keratonz Charming Red to pre-lightened sections..

CUTT ING T ECHNIQUE WET CUT:

• Section the hair into four quadrants. • Starting in the nape (back of the head hair line), take a low horizontal section on the left side of the head. • Hold hair inside the fingers and over-direct straight back, elevating just above 90 degrees to ensure a buildup of weight. • Take parallel subsections moving up toward the top. Always comb onto the previously cut section below for accuracy. Repeat on the right side. • On side to back by establishing a corner right behind the ear. Cut with your fingers angles away from the front of the face to maintain a triangular shape. • Continue to bring section down 45 degrees until no hair is left. Repeat on the opposite side, adjusting the fingers angle to create asymmetry. • Next, take a horizontal section to the apex (top of the head). Continue horizontal sectioning through the front, over-directing to the apex (top of the head). The sectioning is horizontal but the hair will fall vertically. • Establish a layer using the outside of your fingers and over-direct back. Cut a flat line parallel to the ceiling and continue to take parallel sections up to the front hairline while over-directing each section back. • Apply Hair Serum and blow dry using a thermal round brush. Once dry, smooth the hair using a flat iron.

• Begin to personalize the nape area (back of the head hair line) and remove additional weight, creating added movement as desired throughout the hair shape.

• Begin by creating an oﬀ centered triangle section from the recession area to the top back of the head and back to just past the recession area on the other side. Using a clip secure this section. • Next, create another large upside-down triangle in the back of the head, oﬀ center with the point of the triangle falling just below the occipital. Using a clip secure this section. • Apply formula (2) 1 oz. 7.55 + 1 oz. 5.0 + 1 oz. 12.1 + 4.5 oz. 20 Volume Developer to the triangle section with a sponge applicator brush, hand painting at the scalp area and saturating through the ends for the last 10 minutes. • Apply formula (1) 1 oz. 7.55 + 1 oz. 3.0 + ½ oz. Mix-Copper + 3.75 oz. 20 Volume Developer to the regrowth of the remaining hair. Bring through mid-shaft and ends for the last 5 minutes. Total PROCESSING TIME: 35 minutes Rinse the colour thoroughly with luke warm water sneezing the ends to ensure all colour has been removed and remove all extra water. • Apply shampoo using circular motions to massage the scalp creating a lather, rinse using luke warm water, squeezing the ends to remove extra water. • Dry the hair. CUTT ING T ECHNIQUE

• Start at the top of the head (crown) by creating a circular “halo”, using a clip secure the section. Create another section in the fringe (bang area), starting at the outside corner of the eyebrows on both sides using a clip secure this section. Create another section from below the back of the head (crown) section to just below the occipital bone (the back of the head hair line), using a clip secure this section. • Choose a side to start and starting at the hairline, section straight out and cut approximately ½ inch to ¾ inch of the section, leaving length. Over-direct to the original guide for the next section. Continue to section behind the ear. Repeat on opposite side. Release sides and clip all hair out of the way. • Release the subsection above occipital bone. Create center section elevate and cut short to long, creating a concave layer. Continue to the next section and over direct each section to the original guide. Complete the section and repeat on the opposite side. Releasing the sides securely clip the hair out of the way. • Release the top crown section, starting with the center section and sub sectioning. Pull hair straight off of the head and cut short too long. Taking manageable amounts of hair, create another vertical section pivoting off the center front and bring to the original center guide using moderate tension. Repeat on opposite side • Apply hair serum, using a theraml round brush blow dry the hair and use a flat iron to smooth. • Focusing on the top section, take curved parting and point cut to add softness and texture to the design. At the crown, twist a small section together tightly. Using the “V” of the scissors. Slice downward from the ends to the scalp for volume. Cut the fringe (bang area) with slight elevation in comb. Point cut for softer edges around the fringe and perimeter. • Finish with worked up to hold the style.

• Mix as many or as few Keratonz colors as you choose into a reﬁllable bottle of (soft hold hairspray). Mix to the eye. Remember, the more keratonz you add, the more vibrant the color and the deeper the tone. Always use more hairspray than Keratonz, spray onto paper towels to check tone. • Create a circular section at the top of the head (crown) and securely slip away. This section will serve as a “veil” over the graﬃti • Using a freehand technique, begin spraying the hairspray/Keratonz mixture onto the hair to enhance the haircut design. Use stencils or cardboard to create bold, graphic designs and stronger lines. • Blow hair dry and brush through. PROCESSING TIME: 30 minutes NOTE: To remove the Keratonz and soft spray mixture from hair, shampoo serval times until color is removed. Color balancing can be done if necessary. Follow with

the appropriate conditioner.

COLOUR T ECHNIQUE

• Pre-lighten the hair using the platinum card technique. Split the hair into 4 Quadrants as if you were doing a root touch up. Starting at the back of the head take very thin slices put in foil (do not skip sections) and apply Lightener + 40 Volume Developer. While foiling, do not apply lightener right to the root. Leave a 1-inch gap. Work your way up the two sections at the back of the head, then repeat the process on each side of the head. Once the hair has been completely foiled slightly pull each foil down to reveal the 1-inch gap of virgin hair (the hair with no lightener) that you have left out. Working your way from the back of the head up apply Lightener + 40 Volume Developer to the roots of the hair (including 1-inch gap you left out). PROCESSING TIME: 30- 40 minutes. • Colorplex is best used when pre-lightening the hair. It helps ensure the integrity of the hair is kept. Refer to Colorplex manual if you choose to use it in your lightening mixture.

• Once the hair has been lightened to a pale yellow (level 9 or higher) remove foils and rinse lightener. • Shampoo twice with shampoo then apply conditioner, rinse well. • Power dry the hair until it is completely dry • In one Mixing Bowl mix 3 oz. Keratonz White + ½ oz. of Keratonz Magenta. Split the hair into 4 quadrants and apply 3 oz. Keratonz White + ½ oz. Keratonz Magenta on all the roots of the hair. (using your root touch up technique) • Once the colour is on all the roots, using a wide tooth comb slightly and loosely comb down the colour. In a separate mixing bowl mix 3 oz Keratonz White + ½ oz. Keratonz Blue Magic. Taking small sections apply 3 oz. Keratonz White + ½ oz. Keratonz Blue Magic on the mid shafts to ends of the hair. Make sure the hair is fully saturated with the colour. Cover hair with a processing cap. PROCESSING TIME: 20 Minutes (use heat to increase vibrancy)

COLOUR T ECHNIQUE

Create a cat’s eye section at the top of the head and clip out of the way.

(starting from the front middle of the forehead draw a triangle to the center of the head. Make another triangle section that is a mirror image of the ﬁrst)

Once the cat’s eye section is clipped out of the way. Split the hair that is left into two separate sections. Starting from just above the ear draw a horizontal line to the opposite top of the other ear. You should now have 3 diﬀerent sections. Clip section number 2 out of the way.

• Starting with your bottom section (Section 3) take thin diagonal slices and foil hair. • Apply Lightener + 40 Volume Developer to each foil. Do not skip sections. • Remove section 2 from clip and repeat the last step. Take thin diagonal slices and foil. • Apply Lightener + 20 Volume Developer to each foil. PROCESSING TIME: 20-30 Minutes. (use heat if required) Colorplex is best used when pre-lightening the hair. It helps ensure the integrity of the hair is kept. Refer to Colorplex manual if you choose to use it in your lightening mixture.

Once the bottom section is lifted to a pale yellow (level 11-12) and section 2 is lifted to a level 9 remove foils and shampoo hair twice, apply conditioner from the tips to roots and rinse thoroughly. **While shampooing, keep the cat’s eye section still in a clip and out of the way. Power dry hair.

• Apply 3 oz. Keratonz White + ½ oz. Keratonz Purple Rain to section 3 from roots through ends. Make sure hair is fully saturated with colour mixture. Apply a piece of foil over section 3. • Apply 2 oz. Keratonz White + 2 oz. Keratonz Purple Rain to section 2 from roots through ends. Make sure hair is fully saturated with colour. Apply a piece of foil over section 2. • Remove cat’s eye section (Section 1) from clip. Apply Keratonz Purple Rain from roots to ends of section 1. • Apply a processing cap over hair. PROCESSING TIME: 20 minutes (use heat to increase vibrancy).

RINSE AND SHAMPOOING

• Remove processing cap and rinse cat’s eye section with cool water very well. • Remove foil from section 2 and rinse hair very well with cool water. • Repeat last step with section 3

• Slice a section of the hair across the front. Weave out various pieces of hair based on texture and desired end result. Lay foil and apply (1) Lightener + 20 volume Developer to the hair on the foil. Close foil packet. • Continue creating slices through the horseshoe shape, until no hair remains in the section. • Along both side of the face, place two diagonal foil sections in the hair. PROCESSING TIME: Process until a pale yellow colour is achieved. • Remove foils when desire-lightness is achieved. • Rinse and use as colour protecting shampoo. Towel-dry the hair.

â&#x20AC;˘ Pre-lighten the hair using the platinum card technique. Split the hair into 4 Quadrants as if you were doing a root touch up. Starting at the back of the head take very thin slices put in foil (do not skip sections) and apply Lightener + 30 Volume Developer. While foiling, do not apply lightener right to the root. Leave a 1-inch gap. Work your way up the two sections at the back of the head, then repeat the process on each side of the head. Once the hair has been completely foiled slightly pull each foil down to reveal the 1-inch gap of virgin hair (the hair with no lightener) that you have left out. Working your way from the back of the head up apply Lightener + 30 Volume Developer to the roots of the hair (including 1-inch gap you left out).

PROCESSING TIME: 30-40 minutes.

• Once the hair has been lifted to a pale yellow (level 9) remove the foils and rinse out lightener. Apply shampoo, lather and rinse. Apply conditioner from root to scalp and rinse. • Power dry the hair.

• Split the hair into quadrants and apply Keratonz Tangerine using the root touch up technique. Make sure roots are fully saturated with colour. Take small sections starting at the nape of the neck and pull Keratonz Tangerine from mid shafts through ends of hair. Ensure to apply colour liberally so the hair is fully saturated. • Apply a processing cap to the head. PROCESSING TIME: 20 minutes (use heat to increase vibrancy).

RINSE AND SHAMPOOING FINISHING OF F

Remove processing cap and rinse hair very well with cool water. Shampoo twice with Keratonz Tangerine Shampoo, rinse. Towel dry hair fairly well and apply Keratonz Tangerine Colour Mask from roots through ends of hair. Use a comb to ensure even application. CUTT ING T ECHNIQUE WET CUT

Begin by sectioning the hair into four sections using clips secure each section. Using the natural rounds of the head, create four triangles. Starting in the center back, take vertical diagonal sections and cut graduation. With ďŹ ngertips up, over-direct the section back to create a triangular shape. Repeat on both sides, changing ďŹ nger position on the opposite side, release the triangle sections. These triangles are disconnected as to hang over the structure of the graduation

CURLY • Section the fringe area (bang area) out and secure with a clip. Apply a small amount of curl cream. • Begin taking small to medium-sized sections of hair and twist them tightly throughout the head shape. Twist each section so that it twists back into itself. • Release the fringe (bang area) and blow-dry smooth using the a thermal round brush. Using a diﬀuser, completely dry the twists • Once dry, separate the twist and style as desired.

SMOOT H • Apply hair serum throughout the hair. • Using a thermal round brush blow-dry the hair straight. • Finish the hair with a ﬂat iron.

COLOUR T ECHNIQUE

• Begin sectioning the hair by creating a curved box on the top of the head from the recession line to the crown. Use a clip to secure. • Next, from the back crown area, slightly curve downward to behind the ears on both sides using a clip secure.

• Starting on the right side, section out a curved section above the ear. Create triangular sections within that section. Lay foil and apply (1) Lightener + 20 Volume Developer. Fold foils into a triangular shape. • Continue creating the triangular shapes throughout both side sections. Moving to the back section and starting at the nape, create a curved section and repeat the above steps throughout the entire back section. Continue to the top front and repeat the process. PROCESSING TIME: 20 minutes Rinse thoroughly and shampoo with shampoo. Follow with conditioner or Colour Protect Reconstructive Treatment

• Once all the hair has been lifted to a pale yellow (level 9-10) remove foils and rinse lightener oﬀ hair. • Shampoo twice, apply conditioner from the tips to scalp rinsing thoroughly. • Power dry hair.

• Begin by sectioning a cat’s eye section on top of the head. Draw a triangle from the front center of the forehead back. Then create another triangle that is a mirror image of the ﬁrst. Clip this section out of the way. • At the back of the head draw a triangle section starting from the occipital bone down to the nape of the neck. Clip this section out of the way. • You will now have two sections left on either side of the head. Split both those sections into 3 subsections.

• Starting with the triangle section at the back of the head apply Keratonz Emerald Green from roots to ends of the section. Make sure the hair is fully saturated. Apply a piece of foil over the section to prevent colour bleeding. • Apply Keratonz Blue Magic + 2 oz. Keratonz White, Keratonz Emerald Green, and Keratonz Yellow Passion. • Alternate using a diﬀerent colour on each section (do your best to not use the same colour beside itself) • Use foil as you go along to separate each section. • Apply a processing cap to the head. COLOUR T ECHNIQUE

• Once the hair has been lifted to a pale yellow (level 10, 11) remove the foils and rinse out lightener. Apply shampoo, lather and rinse. Apply conditioner from root to scalp and rinse. • Power dry the hair.

• Split the hair into quadrants and apply Keratonz Charming Red on all the roots using the root touch up technique. • Starting at the nape of the neck take thin sections and apply, Keratonz Emerald Green on mid shafts to ends. Repeat last process throughout the whole head but alternate colours between Keratonz Emerald Green, Keratonz Blue Magic, Keratonz Magenta, Keratonz Plum and Keratonz Charming Red. • Be creative in the placement of the colours, try to avoid putting a lot of the same colour in one section of the head. Ensure all the hair is fully saturated with the diﬀerent colours. • Apply a processing cap to the head. PROCESSING TIME: 20 minutes (use heat to increase vibrancy).

RINSE AND SHAMPOOING FINISHING OF F

• Remove processing cap from head and rinse out colour with cool water. Avoid massaging or rubbing the hair at this point. Once all colour has been fully rinsed out shampoo twice with Keratonz Colour Lock Shampoo to help prevent fading and lock in the colour, rinse and conditioner from the tips to the roots rinsing thoroughly.
