GuideStar obtains information from the IRS Business Master File, IRS Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF and individual organizations. Columbia State Community College Foundation chose to participate in GuideStar Exchange and provide comprehensive information that gives our prospective donors all they need to know to have confidence is supporting us with their charitable giving. What is the GuideStar Exchange? The GuideStar Exchange is an initiative designed to connect nonprofits with current and potential supporters. With millions of people coming to GuideStar to learn more about nonprofit organizations, the GuideStar Exchange allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with GuideStar's vast on-line audience of grant makers and individual donors. Exchange members are nonprofits that have updated their nonprofit report to the fullest —sharing information, documentation, photos and video with GuideStar's site visitors. What is the GuideStar Exchange seal, and how can my organization qualify for it? The GuideStar Exchange seal appears on Exchange member's report pages. Here is some of the information required to receive the seal and become an Exchange member:
