BIOS Hi, I’m Abby Baudhuin! I’m from St. Louis Park, Minnesota and my favorite color is yellow. This is the first show I’ve been a part of at CCC! My only dance experience comes from school musicals and the dance class I’m taking at Columbia. I love singing and giving tv show recommendations (you should watch Schmigadoon). This show has definitely been a challenge for me as a beginner dancer. I originally auditioned thinking I wouldn’t get in but would learn from the audition so I’m really glad that I’ve gotten the opportunity to both improve my dancing as much as I have and to work with this amazing and incredibly talented group of people. Also, I got to dance to Aaron Tveit singing El Tango de Roxanne so that was pretty awesome.
Aurora Boe (she/her) is a BA Musical Theatre student here at Columbia College Chicago. You might have seen her on the CCC stage with Sunday In the Park with George as Dot, or in the 2021 MT New Stew. Aurora has been performing since a young age and within the last 4 years has taken on choreographing, and teaching dance. Choreography credits include: The Fantasticks (CFTA Murfreesboro, TN), Hunchback of Notre Dame (CFTA Murfreesboro, TN), Kinky Boots (CFTA Murfreesboro, TN), Nemo Jr.- Mean Girls Jr.- and Cinderella Jr. (Center stage academy Murfreesboro, TN). Coming from a theatrical family Aurora wants to thank her parents and community for always encouraging her creativity and pushing her to pursue multiple forms of performance.
MJ Bueno, an international student from Medellin, Colombia, is in her sophomore year, majoring in BA Musical Theatre with a dance minor at Columbia College of Chicago. Excited about her debut at the college, MJ, a skilled dancer, singer, and actress, brings a dynamic blend of talents to the stage. MJ is really grateful to have the chance to be part of the first (of hopefully many more) Musical theatre dance concert. As a Musical Theatre major who’s predominately a dancer, this was a great opportunity for MJ to finally get to dance to some of my favorite musical songs with no limitations. This show will be MJ’s first Columbia College production and she will never forget this wonderful experience.
Emma Close (she/her) is a senior BFA Acting major minoring in Dance. She is so incredibly thrilled to be a part of the beginning of this new tradition and so happy to return to her home style of Musical Theatre. Her most recent dance credits with Columbia include Kayla Hansen’s I Would Like to Say… Time Keeps Moving and Emma Draves’ Avogadro’s Constant. She is so thankful and excited she gets to dance with this amazing ensemble! Emma hasn’t gotten to do musical theatre dance since 2019, so finding a little loophole opportunity to be involved with the musical theatre community at this school just makes her time here a little more whole.
Raynner Garcia, an Afro-Dominican raised in Bronx New York, is a singer, dancer, actor, and choreographer whose influence comes from his Hispanic culture and the world around him. He is a recipient of the Ruth Kurtzman Benefit Series Award From the Manhattan Association Of Cabaret, served as Production Assistant with Cabaret On The Couch, and has been seen in the New York & Orlando Salsa congress. Raynner is a current BFA Student at Columbia College Chicago in Musical Theatre Performance. Recently he was the Choreographer for the Musical Theatre New Student Showcase and Featured Choreographer & Performer in Student Performance Night at The Dance Center as the first non-dance major to perform.
Crystal Herrera is a proud first-generation Latina from the Southside of Chicago. She was bestowed the honor and privilege of being a part of a talented and inspiring ensemble in creating beautiful dance pieces and giving them life.
Jadyn Hogue is a Musical Theatre BA minoring in education and this this show is a great way to express love for dance in different variations and with good people!
Erol Ibrahimovic feels so blessed to be a part of such an amazing ensemble! He’s been dancing since he was 12 years old, becoming passionate about tap and jazz/contemporary. Erol made his regional theatre debut this past August, tapping up a storm in The Producers at Music Theatre Works. He has worked professionally in various theaters in the Chicago theatre district, as well as performing in Milwaukee. This show highlights how a dancer doesn’t need to feel limited in a style that highlights their personal strengths, but instead proves how they can adapt to be versatile in many different mediums and expand their repertoire with a well-rounded and diverse set of skills. Erol wants to send an enormous thank you to his Mom, family, friends, Infinity Arts Academy for helping him discover his dancing abilities, and Columbia College for always pushing him to grow and fight for his spot in this world. Love you Aurora and Rayner!
Lola Jett-Beachley has been dancing for fourteen years and just moved to Chicago from Pittsburgh. They are studying dance at Columbia and hope to pursue a career in performance and choreography. It is so wonderful to be doing styles they haven’t done before or done as much as they’d like to. This is one of the main reasons they came to Columbia! They are so happy that in one show they get to showcase such a wide range of my dancing ability. It has been wonderful meeting everyone and seeing everyone’s different strengths. They really feel like that rehearsals have been a place where they can learn from my castmates, and we all want to help each other be the best we can!
Veronica Li is a Musical Theater Major minoring in Entrepreneurship and is passionate about music, traveling, dancing, exploring, and business! She appreciates being cast for this project and cooperate with a creative, talented, and amazing team. Additionally, she is learning the dance techniques, putting herself in different musical dance pieces, thinking about the characters, and cooperate skills during the rehearsals. Even though it is a challenge for her and everyone in this production, she enjoys the process that we create it together. She love the every dance piece that our choreographers picked, which includes multiple dance styles.
Theatre is something Katelyn Montgomery has been a part of since early age. She has been in various productions throughout elementary, middle and high school including Godspell with istage, Heathers with Encore, Billy Elliot with Porchlight, and many more! Katelyn is grateful to be a part of something that got her back into her body and the joy of movement! Theatre has always been important to her and getting to have it back in her lifestyle while not being a theatre major has meant so much to her.
Hi I’m Gabi Mora and I’ve been dancing for about 16 years (and plan to make it my major). Most recently I was in the Musical Theater New Stew here at Columbia. This dance concert is just my second show here. I am from Michigan but moved here for school! I am so excited to be able to be a part of this! This show means a lot to me because I love dancing and getting to share all these styles with the audience. I got to create beautiful dances with my friends and building that community was such a gift.
Vrisa Odedra is a Musical Theater major and has enjoyed meeting new people from all backgrounds at Columbia and getting to work side by side with some of the upperclassman!

Perla Mia Valdez, a 19-year-old native of Miami, Florida, is currently enrolled at Columbia, where she’s pursuing a degree in communications. Despite her academic focus, she has always fostered a passion for the arts and remains committed to integrating this interest into her life. Theatre has taught Perla so much about myself and the world around her. It has allowed her to explore different perspectives and emotions, and has given her a voice to express myself in a way that is both powerful and meaningful. This show means being able to express herself with no limits through the thing she loves the most theatre. Born and raised in St. Louis, Ethan Williams is an actor, singer, and dancer. He is a freshman student studying Musical Theatre. This is his second show at Columbia following the Musical Theatre New Stew. He’s an alumni member of the Muny Teen Troupe since 2022 and he’s excited to be part of this show!
