Three Things You Can Use to Build a Brand – Colure Media
The best way to sell something is though marketing. The best form of marketing is to create a brand. In order to create a brand, you need to build an identity. How do you do that? Here are three things that you can use to develop your brand identity.
Target Audience Before you start thinking about building a brand, you need to identify your target audience. Are you targeting families or are you targeting singles? Your brand should target and fit to the audience, not the other way around. It wouldn’t make sense to brand a car as the best for high adventure and trills to people who live in the big city. Once you decide who your target audience is, you can start building you brand. Rhetoric The first thing you can use to build your brand is your rhetoric. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. You could say that a car “has the ability to go off road” or you could say, “This car will lead you on new adventure while braving the trials of nature.” You need to find the right words to build your brand. 62 Greene Street, 2nd Fl., New York, NY. 10012 Phone: 1-866-556-1621 FREE Fax: 1-866-923-0751
Image The second thing you can do to build your brand is your image. The right image can go a long way for your brand. If you’re trying to brand a truck as a “tough guy’s truck,” advertise the truck alongside things that are associated with tough people. Do not advertise it with a bunch of kids because that sends to wrong message. It won’t matter what you say if your image doesn’t match rhetoric. Stand for Something The last thing that you can do to build your brand is to stand for something. People love causes to attach themselves to. Take advantage of this. Pick a cause and run with it. You can say that your brand is the brand of the underdog and people will buy your brand just because they feel like they are also underdog. One cause should be enough.
