Meet Colin is the adaptation of an English nursery rhyme, This Is The House That Jack Built, the story of which plays out in the 16th century. At first passed down through the oral tradition, the song has been adapted many times into book form. The illustrated edition by Randolph Caldecott in 1878 was one of the first illustrated albums for kids. The illustrations by Gérard DuBois found in this version give the story a new rhythm, while taking into account its rich past.
