In Equal Measure

The CV Industry put up a strong show at the Auto Expo 2023 - The Motor Show and the February issue goes deep into it. The organisers SIAM, CII and ACMA deserve a special mention here for a stellar show. Spanning solutions for the gig economy to light, intermediate, medium and heavy duty, people and cargo movers, the show had something for everybody. The CV OEMs made a stronger case for fully-built transport solutions backed by an ecosystem than in the past editions of the expo. The progress made in addressing the need for an entire spectrum of greener, higher performance oriented transport solutions with an assurance of lower TCO was there for all to see. Be it on conventional ICE, natural gas (including gas hybrids) or BEV, or the well-received Hydrogen-based options, the respective goto-market strategies committed to better cover the customer life cycle. A chat with a veteran marketer at a CV major revealed the thought process for making communications more believable and stand out. It is to ensure that the message on the new product line and the efforts to address occupant and pedestrian requirements, the business needs of a fleet operator are not lost in transition. This implies that product differentiation has assumed higher significance over the need to create brand differentiation with the industry pushing fully built solutions in a cowl-driven market. We also get you industry insights on the CapEx intensive budget. Watch this space as we are a step closer to the 14th Apollo CV Awards 2023 getting underway and the jury adjudging the winners at the gala event on the other side!
