Working With Advisors
Power of Endowment
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is honored to show how we help donors and nonprofits alike grow endowment funds to support organizations now and forever. Our approach is to take the long view for the growth of the funds and the relationships we are building with donors and community organizations. We believe this work is central to our role in supporting philanthropy, connecting generosity with need, and enriching the quality of life in Middle Tennessee.

Carlene Hunt, an avid and talented photographer, saw beauty in the mothers and children at Renewal House and the SISTER program at Meharry where women work to overcome addiction. Carlene volunteered to take family pictures so they can see just how good recovery looks on them. Those images helped strengthen the vision and value of family for many women. As an extension of her work with these programs, Carlene created The Hope Fund to help benefit a variety of programs that promote recovery from addiction — especially those efforts that address the stigma of addiction, a major barrier to women receiving the proper treatment.
