Try this: Stand on one foot, on your bed

mattress. Count to 10. Now, extend your free leg in front, out to the side, then behind you. Did you wobble? Lose balance? Not to worry. Good balance can be recreated. Our complex balance system needs plenty of regular ‘practice’. As children we walk along walls and ledges, jump, spin and climb. Â‘Â™Â‡Â˜Â‡Â”ÇĄ ‘—” ”‡Ď?Ž‡š‡• Č‹Â”Â‡ÂƒÂ…Â–Â‹Â˜Â‡ ”‡•’‘Â?Â•Â‡Â•ČŒ are not as quick as we age. In addition, health problems or injuries weaken our balance systems. The good news is that with a few simple exercises, we can retrain our balance and reactive responses like when we were in high school! For Starters: To do any of these exercises, stand up straight and use a counter or the back of a sturdy chair for support. Start by SLOWLY performing each one a few times, working your way up to 12 repetitions:
