Areas of Research
Sequoia Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute: Helping to discover new preventive care and treatments, with the goal of finding new ways to provide timely and effective treatment to patients diagnosed with cardiovascular disease. Among the topics regularly included in trials are heart failure, heart arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, pacemaker and implantable defibrillator technology.
The Cancer Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center: Actively participates in numerous National Institutes of Health studies and is sought out by peer institutions to train others in new and innovative treatment and procedures. Among the cancers regularly included in trials are melanoma, lung, bladder, colorectal, gastric and renal cell adenocarcinomas.
Dominican Hospital and Dignity Health Medical Foundation: Actively participates in numerous National Institutes of Health studies and is sought out by peer institutions to train others in new and innovative treatment and procedures. Among the topics regularly included in trials are breast cancer, lung cancer and lymphoma.
Saint Francis Memorial Hospital
Gender Institute: Established to deliver compassionate, high-quality, affordable health services to transgender patients and their families including health outcomes research to continually improve these services. Program is committed to delivering excellence in the overall care for patients of all gender identities.
