Our extraordinary learning goes beyond the classroom. Completing an interactive escape room is just the start on your Inspired journey. You’ll be encouraged to participate in college lectures, society debates and co-curricular activities run by academic departments. You’ll meet people who share your interests and be inspired to develop new ones.

There are so many opportunities to be Inspiring at Durham. Our students are active in in their colleges and departments across the Seven Domains of Participation.

If you choose to take part in the Durham Inspired Award, you will have the chance to make a difference to others, innovate new solutions, learn important skills and have invaluable experiences along the way.

Durham Leadership Framework

With over 3,500 formal student leadership roles, Durham provides extraordinary opportunities for students to work together and lead their communities through our colleges, the Students’ Union and the Student Enrichment Directorate. Designed to support student leaders while at Durham and beyond, the framework provides access to a toolkit, a speaker series, workshops, personal and group mentoring, and immersive training programmes.
