Mae’n rhaid i ni ymatal rhag rhoi cymhorthdaliadau i’r cyfoethog drwy eu galluogi i osgosi talu trethi, i gymeryd arian o’r wladwrthiaith pan maent yn methu a thynnu allan o’n cymunedau unwaith maent yn dod o hyd i leoliad rhatach. Mae’n hen bryd i’r cyfoethog ddechrau cyfrannu tuag at ein cymdeithas yn lle manteisio arni. Rydym yn byw yn un o’r gwledydd mwyaf anghyfartal yn Ewrop oherwydd bod y prif bleidiau yn poeni gormod am y gor-gofyoethog yn hytrach nag amddiffyn a lleisio barn ar ran y bobl.
Mae gan y Blaid Gomiwnyddol draddodiad balch o wella bywydau trigolion y cwm hwn, a’n nymuniad yw parhau’r traddodiad trwy gefnogi’ch dymuniadau a’ch anghenion chi. Bydd gwella cyfleusterau trafnidiaeth gyhoeddus yn achos bwysig i mi ynghyd â gwella gwasanaethau a chyfleusterau eraill i bobl yr ardal. Credaf pan fo pawb yn cydweithio gellir llwyddo – fel y gwelwyd gyda’r ymgyrch lwyddiannus yn erbyn llosgydd gwastraff Covanta.
Polisau Comiwnyddol I ferthyr 1. Mwy o dai cyhoeddus gyda chostau rhenti fforddiadwy a theg 2. Gorfodaeth i lenwi tai gwag 3. Buddsoddiad mewn gwasaneth drafnudiaeth gyhoeddus fydd yn rhoi gwell gysylltiadau i’r ardal. 4. Y Cyngor i arwain rhaglen o fuddsoddi yn nhechnoleg glan a mwy o ail-gylchu gwastraff 5. Codi treth cyngor y sawl yn y band uchaf yn lle torri cyflogau gweithwyr y Cyngor.
6. Ymgyrch gan y cyngor am swyddi a chyfleusterau i weithwyr anabl 7. Mwy o fuddsoddiad ar gyfer llochesau i’r sawl sy’n dioddef o drais yn y cartref. 8. Dim mwy o gytundebau allanol na phreifateiddio gwasanaethau’r Cyngor. 9. Defnydd gofalus o gronfeydd wrthgefn y Cyngor er mwyn amddiffyn swyddi a gwasanaethau. 10. Uchafswm pendant ar dreuliau a lwfansau’r Cynghorwyr.
Cefnoga Comiwnyddion Merthyr mwy o ddemocratiaeth ar lefel gymunedol.

Fy enw yw Catrin Ashton. Rwy’n byw ym Medlinog ac mae gennyf draddodiad teuluol hir gyda ward Trelewis / Bedlinog – roedd fy hen dadcu, ynghyd â llawer un arall, wedi palu sylfeini’r Workies.

Dim Toriadau! Trethiant uwch i'r Cyfoethog!
Hona’r pedair prif plaid yng Nghymru bod toriadau yn ein gwasanaethau cyhoeddus yn anorfod. Mae’r llywodraeth Dorïaidd-Ryddfrydol, a’r llywodraeth Lafur gynt, wedi rhoi dros £14 biliwn o arian cyhoeddus i’r sector gyfoethoca yn ein cymdeithas – y banciau. Nawr maent yn galw arnom ni i dalu’r pris.

Dim Toriadau! Trethiant uwch i'r Cyfoethog!
Improvement of public transport is one of my prime concerns as well as a better focus improving facilites for the people of Bedlinog and Trelewis. I believe that when people work together things can be achieved – as was seen with the successful opposition to the Covanta waste incinerator.
Communist Policies for Merthyr 1. More public sector housing at affordable rents. 2. Compulsory take-over of empty office accommodation.
6. A council-led drive for jobs and facilities for disabled workers. 7 More funding for domestic violence refuges.
3. Investment in the public transport system linking the town with outlying areas.
8. No more outsourcing or privatisation of council services.
4. Council-led drive for investment in clean technology and an increase in recycling.
9. Careful use of council reserves to protect jobs and services.
5. Higher council tax rates for top-band properties.
10. A tight cap on councillors' allowances and expenses.
Merthyr’s communists support more democracy at street & community level, with real involvement in local projects.
Thursday 3rd May Merthyr County Borough Council election, Bedlinog Ward
The Communist Party has a proud tradition of improving the lot of the people of this valley and I want to continue this by supporting the aims and needs of the people of this ward.

My name is Catrin Ashton. I live in Bedlinog and have a long family connection with the Trelewis/Bedlinog ward - my great grandfather, along with many others, dug the foundations of the Workies.

No Cuts! Tax the Rich
The four major political parties in Wales are all agreed that cuts in our public services are necessary. The Con Dem government and Labour before them have handed over fourteen hundred billion pounds of public money to the richest and most irresponsible sector in society - the banks - and now they want us to pay for it. We are the sixth richest country in the world and easily have enough resources to provide: jobs for all decent wages and conditions for all reasonable benefits and pensions for all affordable quality housing for all free education for all We need to stop subsidising the rich by allowing them to avoid paying tax, taking money from the state when they fail and abandoning the communities they locate in whenever they see somewhere cheaper to move to. It is time the rich started to contribute toward society instead of taking advantage of it. We live in one of the most unequal societies in Europe because the major parties are more concerned with keeping on good terms with the super-rich rather than defending and speaking up for the people.
