promoting and supporting the voluntary and community sector
At MKCVO we believe that voluntary and community action is at the heart of the good society and that local voluntary and community organisations of all sizes can tackle some of the biggest challenges facing us: strengthening social cohesion, ensuring the well-being of individuals and communities and much more. Vo l u n t a r y a n d c o m m u n i t y organisations make real differences to the lives of individuals and communities. This annual review celebrates the work not only of MKCVO, but of the hundreds of people and groups who have worked with us in 2009/10 and demonstrates that our sector can provide a different approach and different solutions (and often lots of fun!) Vo l u n t a r y a n d c o m m u n i t y organisations face challenging times ahead as funding reduces whilst demand rises but take a moment to celebrate the achievements of the last year and take heart that if we work together we can achieve much more for Milton Keynes.
