Six years of Village Wholefoods

SIX years after opening Village Wholefoods, a passion for sustainability and a commitment to her local community have seen store owner Suzanne Evans-Booth named Business Person of the Year at the 2023 Inner West Local Business Awards.

“There were so many great business people nominated,” Suzanne said.

“I am really grateful to the judges for recognising all the hard work, and for seeing what we are trying to achieve with the business.”

Suzanne believes environmental sustainability is an imperative and is leading the charge to make shopping for groceries more socially conscious and eco-friendly.

Located in the heart of Marrickville, Village Wholefoods offers a diverse range of high-quality, affordable, organic and non-organic wholefoods. It also stocks a range of environmentally friendly cleaning and personal care products.

With a focus on reducing plastic packaging and waste, Village Wholefoods encourages customers to bring in their own refillable containers and also provides recyclable and reusable packaging in store.

“We started the business with the dream of being able to provide a more sustainable way to shop in our local area,” Suzanne said.
