Looking for work that fits in with family life? Could you be a MicroProvider? A Micro-Provider offers paid-for support or care to help local people with everyday tasks, to stay well and get out and about. They make a positive difference supporting local people. Support can range from anything from gardening to cleaning, care provision to mobile hairdressing and even holistic therapies. The choice is yours, as is the hours you work! Becoming a Micro-Provider offers flexible working hours and interesting and varied work within your local area, which is particularly useful when you need to fit work in around the school run and school holidays.

We are looking for existing or startup sole traders, self-employed or very small businesses to join Somerset’s network of microproviders. They help people to remain in their own homes for longer and live life as they choose. Our Enterprise Advisors are here to support you in becoming a Micro-Provider as a new selfemployed career! They offer free help, advice and specialist signposting to anyone with an idea to develop and set up a small service.
