Bordentown Thespians to present hit musical

Feb. 24 and 25

This month, the Bordentown Regional High School Thespians are set to present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. In the musical, a trio of narrators tells the story of Joseph, whose jealous brothers inadvertently set him on a journey from obscurity to fame and power. The musical about family, dreams, and an Elvis-inspired pharaoh is intended to entertain the whole family. The cast features students Candace Farrell, Anna Madden, and Atlas Planas-Borgstrom as the Narrators; Jake Sfraga as Joseph; and Ryan Kaufman as the Pharaoh and Jacob. Brynn Bowyer, Aidan Bramley, Sal Carr, Rylie Evans, Defnenur Gumus, Raymond Hollopeter, Clayton Hubbard, Olivia McGlone, Olivia Olaff, Adam Pollard and Luke Williams play the sons of Jacob, and Sika Brenya, Nina Guidotti, Wren Magby, Sarah Mahrous, Brandon Rosenblatt, Jo Russo, Genevieve Schenone and Samuel Williams will feature as cousins and members of Egyptian court. Bordentown Regional High School is home to International Thespian Society Troupe 6803. The school’s 2012 musical, Legally Blonde, was awarded the Greater Philadelphia Cappie Award for outstanding musical. will also

Seniors Ryan Kaufman and Olivia McGlone were awarded superior medals in the Acting Duet category with a nearly perfect score. Their scene was one of four selected from more than 600 candidates as a closing ceremony showcase performance.

Senior Anna Madden and junior Aidan Bramley were awarded high scores for their Musical Theatre solo performances, as was the comedic Acting Duet scene presented by Bramley and senior Defnenur Gumus.

BRHS Theatre was presented with an award by the New Jersey Thespians for the most donations collected per troupe member for their 2022 Trick Or Treat So Kids Can Eat Food Drive. Their collection total of 1,678 pounds of donations was the second largest in the state.
