FALL 2016
CVRD SPORTS & AQUATIC CENTRES
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
It’s shaping up to be a busy fall season with new programs and activities at the sports and aquatic centres. We’re very excited to offer the Valley’s first indoor stand up paddle board workout! Sign up for this unique core and balance fitness class that will be held at the sports centre pool. We’re also very excited to be working with the Canadian Autism Society to create swimming and skating lessons for autistic children in the Comox Valley. Participants will enjoy learning these new skills in a relaxed, fun environment. Also, we’re pleased to bring back Healthy Hearts, a fitness program designed for people with heart disease, or at risk of heart disease, where participants will be guided through specialized fitness programs and educational seminars with trained professionals. Have an active, healthy fall! Manno Theos Chair Comox Valley sports centre commission
