The Toyota Hilux’s reputation for tackling every terrain and overcoming every obstacle is legendary. And now, the world’s toughest icon since 1968 has become even tougher in its latest iteration. From its muscular style and powerful new engine to a more comfortable, capable and connected driving experience, the New Hilux has been tested to the extreme to ensure it’s Invincible by name and Invincible by nature.
For even more attitude, New Hilux showcases a bold new look. Its muscular stance, strong bumpers, and stunning LED headlights convey a sense of power and distinctiveness. Inside the cabin, durable materials and striking finishes along with a new Combi Meter and 8” tablet-style touchscreen offer a new level of refinement that’s designed to make life easier.
Standard on the Invincible X and optional on Invincible grade, the New Hilux has a new 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, bringing power and economy to the line-up. The most powerful Hilux ever delivers effortless acceleration and pulling power to handle heavy loads with ease.
Whether it’s demanding loads or challenging terrain, there’s good reason to feel confident in this pickup. Alongside its impressive one tonne payload, 3.5 tonne towing capacity and manual 4x4 system, New Hilux features an array of off-road assistance. From an automatic Limited Slip Differential to Hill start Assist Control (HAC) and Active Traction Control (A-TRC), it will keep you moving wherever work leads you.
Refined, comfortable and dynamic, no other pickup balances work and home life like the New Hilux. From Icon grade, an 8’’ tablet-style Toyota Touch® 2 screen features a host of multimedia features from smartphone integration to a JBL sound system with Harman CLARi-Fi technology* to keep you entertained and connected. A rear-view camera and suite of advanced safety systems provide welcome reassurance after a long day.
But there’s more to the new Hilux than no-nonsense toughness and reliability. That’s why the latest series of updates for the world-beating pick-up tackle everyday practicality and safety, as well as style.
Plush carpet and upholstery aren’t going to last long when your Hilux is doing duty in the rough, so the entry-level Active Single and Extra Cab models now come with easy-care PVC seats and flooring.
Regardless of Hilux’s role – workhorse, leisure machine or go-anywhere adventure vehicle, safety is a top priority. That’s backed up by the latest generation Toyota Safety Sense being made available across the range – standard on Icon, Invincible and Invincible X and an option on Active grade.
This newly equips Hilux with Adaptive Cruise Control and a Pre-Collision System that can recognise pedestrians in the road ahead by day and night, and cyclists during daylight driving, in addition to Lane Departure Warning and Road Sign Assist.
