The range of all-new Movano Chassis and Crew Cabs are already available, so look no further than this van for a comprehensive, versatile and reliable base for any conversion. The Movano Chassis Cabs have been engineered to provide a solid base for a host of conversions, with particular emphasis paid to the needs of specialist converters. Platform cabs are due for release later this year.

Movano Chassis Cabs

Movano Chassis Cab models feature rugged box section chassis rails, with wide top sections and built-in mounting points. The bolted rear under-run bar provides additional in-built safety, as well as ample margins for additional bodywork while retaining outstanding payloads. • Two load lengths • Two GVWs (3500kg or 4000kg) • Front-wheel drive, or “heavy” front-wheel drive with uprated rear axle loading.

Movano Crew Cabs

The FWD Crew Cab models offer similar specifications to the Chassis Cab versions but introduce added versatility by providing space for four additional crew members.

• One load length (L3) • Two GVWs (3500kg or 4000kg) • Front-wheel drive, or “heavy” front-wheel drive with uprated rear axle loading .

A comprehensive range of complete factory conversions will arrive from August, featuring Tippers; Dropsides; Low-Floor Luton Box (Platform Cab based); Luton Box (Chassis Cab based); and Curtain-sider (Chassis Cab based).

Vauxhall-approved conversions

Besides the factory-based conversions, we’ll also be offering a full range of Vauxhallapproved conversions. For complete peace of mind, all approved conversions are supplied with EC WVTA (European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval) from long-standing conversion partners.

The transaction process is being refined to ensure it’s the simplest in the business. And in many cases, it will involve just one invoice direct from the Vauxhall retailer.

Electric vehicles

Already established as the biggest selling all-electric LCV brand in the UK, Vauxhall has even bigger plans for the future.

These include, induction charging, compact refrigeration boxes and hydrogen-powered models.

Working with a large supermarket fleet, Vauxhall Vivaro-e models are being fitted with high powered wireless charging systems to utilise induction charging. Batteries are automatically topped up while parked over the charging plate.

Vivaro Hydrogen models will be available in 2023. It will offer a range of approximately 250 miles with a re-fuelling time of just three minutes and absolutely no compromise to load space.

At Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, conversions come in all shapes and sizes, from wheelchair-accessible Caddys, to refrigerated Transporters, and Crafter welfare vans, dropsides, tippers and many more. The Engineered To Go scheme provides off-the-shelf conversions, built in partnership with Premium Partner Ingimex: Dropsides, tippers and Luton vans are all available straight from the brochure under Engineered to Go.

In addition, each vehicle can also be adapted for unique conversions, such as a refrigerated box van, crane dropside, mobile workshop or parcel delivery van with bespoke racking, giving customers complete flexibility.

All conversions completed by any of the Recognised Converter partners are fully covered by a warranty that matches the term of the base vehicle warranty, while

customers can liaise with a single point of contact at their Van Centre for all servicing and aftersales support for a seamless ownership experience.

The entire Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles range is compatible for conversions, with each vehicle also available with a range of efficient diesel and petrol engines. The Caddy, which offers class-leading connectivity, can be converted into a refrigerated van or wheelchair-accessible vehicle.

The Transporter, which balances comfort, practicality, and reliability, is also highly flexible and can be transformed into a number of conversions such as refrigerated van.

Finally, the Crafter has the widest range of conversions that go beyond just the panel van, thanks to the chassis cab and flat frame versions. A strong, extendable ladder frame underpins the chassis, which enables the Crafter to be easily converted into Dropside, Tipper and Luton variants.
