Dear Johnathan Please find below my quotation for the installation of a photovoltaic system 2.5 KW peak comprising 10 JA Solar JAM6-60 /LG250SIC panels mounted on one south facing roof .
I have simulated the returns for each proposal using both the Standard Assessment Procedure laid out in the mcs certification guidelines and also with the aid of dedicated specialist analytical software created by the photovoltaic department of the University of Geneva PV Syst. I have attached the simulations and the calculations for the financial returns. I have summarised the results for your convenience in the table on page 3.
Please be advised that in order to qualify for the feed in tariff the property will need to demonstrate an energy efficiency level of D or above via an energy performance certificate. Complete Plumbing Clean energy will be very pleased to carry out this survey for our standard fee of ÂŁ75.00 + vat . Following the carrying out of the survey should works be required to upgrade the property we will be in a position to advise you of the most cost effective measures to take, provide quotations for carrying out the works and put the works into effect speedily and efficiently. Please also re advised that a roof report by a qualified professional will need to be provided In order to verify the load bearing capacity of the roof structure. This is a requirement of the MCS process to validate the system to qualify for the Feed in Tarrif. Again complete Plumbing can provide this report for our standard fee as detailed in the estimates provided. Please also be advised that planning permission may be required for this installation. Complete Pluming hasd not carried out planning enquiries for this installation. Should you wish us to make planning enquiries on your behalf we shall be able to do so, charges may apply. Please also be advised that should you wish to proceed we will ask for a 40% deposit and ask you to sign our standard custom agreement which we have attached for your attention.
Should you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Nick Cotton

Kwh stands for kilowatt hours which is the unit electricity usage is measured in. The Feed in tariff pays 43p at current levels for each unit generated by the system plus 4p for half the total generated which is assumed will be fed back to the grid. In addition it is assumed that half the total will be used in the property and so will yield returns from using your own electricity rather than buying electricity at 13p a unit from your electricity supplier.

Notes for your attention:
Please be advised that it is an assumption of our quotation that the roof structure is of suitable construction and state of repair as to be sufficient to support the installation of your solar panels. Our quotation will not normally allow for a structural survey of your roof. Should you have concerns about the roof structure we will be happy to commission a survey on your behalf. Otherwise complete plumbing clean energy cannot accept any responsibility for the structure of the roof beyond our professional responsibility to ensure that the roof is not compromised in any way by the installation of the solar panels themselves. Should at the time of installation our engineers become concerned about the state of the roof or the roof timbers we will bring our concerns to your attention and seek to agree with you a suitable way forward.
Should you agree to our quotation we would seek a deposit of 40% of the total value of the contract. Should the roof be unsuitable for the installation of the panels or work required to increase the load bearing capacity of the roof be uneconomic a deduction of ÂŁ350 will be made to cover costs of the survey and the deposit returned. Following the installation of the system Complete Plumbing will seek payment in full for all works carried out and materials supplied. On receipt of payment in full Complete Plumbing will issue within 48 hours issue a mcs certificate and record the installation on the OFGEM database. The owner of the system will send the mcs certificate to the electricity supplier and from that date will be eligible for the feed in tariff payments. Please be advised that in a situation where additional works beyond these estimates become advisable or necessary charges will be applied on a strictly time and materials basis the rate for which is included in the text of your quotation.
Important Note Please be advised that while we would not expect the installation to require planning permission, as planning permission is normally only required for listed buildings or areas of outstanding natural beauty. However in some areas planning permission may be required for flat roof installations. We will not make planning enquiries unless specifically requested to do so. Should you wish us to make such enquiries Please inform us in writing. Charges may apply.

An excellent service and an excellent product. Professional and objective advice from the start to the completion of our engagement plus an on-going support when required. Physical works carried out quickly clearly and safely. Solar panels are technically great and look marvellous due to the advice I received the maximum amount of ‘from solar panel I’d thoroughly recommend this company and would have them back to work for me again without a second thought. Huge apologies for the delay! Our panels are great Roan Willmore BSc (hons) Environmental Science Environmental and Sustainability Manager SE19
Thanks for helping out where others couldn’t. It’s a relief to find someone who understands the complexity of modern home energy systems and is able and willing to work out best solution for every site. Will Anderson SW2 Installation was completed very helpful and efficient within a couple of days, and my solar panels were up and running straight away. Thank you. Your service is brilliant Charmian Kenner SW2 Complete Plumbing and Heating Service Ltd played a major part as a sub-contractor. Their standard of work was very good and included the installation of the Solar and Photo Voltaic panels with related pipework and equipment as well as the more general plumbing work. The project was completed very satisfactorily within budget and with the submission of a reference manual listing the work done. On completion the Company provided a briefing explaining the system and the control methodology. We were very pleased with the quality work and helpfulness of all involved. Peter Cobley SW4 We asked three companies to provide us with an estimate to install PV panels, CPHS was not only the most thorough of the three in terms of survey they undertook but they also came up with the most cost effective proposal. The installation went pretty smoothly and the system works well. Richard Seager Management Consultant SE22
