Advice about the documents •

Take copies!! – Originals in your hand luggage

– Copies in your suitcase – Other copies with your family here in Colombia

Save a copy as an attachment in your email account, Dropbox, icloud

Do the translations with plenty of time in advance

Try to get a general physical exam, a dental exam and an eye exam before traveling

Take special medicines with you (prescription and translation)

Take your glasses prescription and/or an extra pair of glasses

Final advice!  Don’t wait until the last minute to do all of your errands (citas médicas, translations, shopping, etc).  Make a schedule and do several things every week

 Create a Skype account and put a bit of money on it.  Don’t be afraid to ask for advice: utilize your contacts in your program!  DAY BEFORE AND DAY OF DEPARTURE - Get plenty of rest - Arrive at airport early to avoid delays - Carry snacks with you - Get excited!!
