Hobart Master Series Hear renowned works by many of classical music’s finest composers including Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Strauss and Shostakovich. The 2011 Master Series also showcases music by Baroque genius J S Bach, epic symphonist Mahler and nineteenth-century trailblazer Liszt, whose bicentenary is commemorated in 2011. At about two hours in length, Master Series concerts offer an intense, rewarding and full-bodied orchestral experience including symphonies, concertos, overtures and choral music. The TSO and The Black Arm Band come together for Hidden Republic, a celebration of hope and resistance that delves deep into the songbook of contemporary Indigenous music. An inspirational and moving concert, Hidden Republic reveals the undiminished spirit in the music of Aboriginal Australia, with songs that celebrate identity and understanding for all Australians. Featuring renowned artists such as Archie Roach, Jimmy Little, Dan Sultan, Shane Howard, Lou Bennett and Tasmanian-born Dewayne Everettsmith, Hidden Republic is a powerful and symbolic meeting of different cultural traditions in a language that speaks to us all: the language of music.

The TSO offers seven different Fixed Packages. Fixed Packages start at four concerts continuing up to five, twelve and sixteen concerts. Of course, you can choose more than sixteen concerts by selecting more than one Fixed Package. The choice is yours!

Compose Your Own packages are ideal for those whose tastes in music range across the TSO’s different concert series. You might wish to attend a few Master Series concerts, a Matinee or two, some Family Classics concerts and The World of Ludwig Van. The Compose Your Own option gives you the flexibility to attend what you like when you like.

The beauty of Fixed Packages is that the dates are set. By choosing a Fixed Package you are opting to attend concerts in a given series on the dates specified. All you have to do is turn up! How will my subscription be processed? Seating will be allocated based on the number of years you have been a TSO subscriber and the date order of receipt within each subscription package category. The categories are prioritised as follows: • Renewing Fixed Package subscribers without changes • Renewing Fixed Package subscribers requesting seating changes • New Fixed Package subscribers • Renewing Compose Your Own subscribers without changes

Flexible payment option: You can pay for your subscription tickets by credit card in five equal installments. These deductions take place on the 15th day of every month commencing in February 2011, and concluding in June 2011. Please indicate on the booking form if you wish to take advantage of this option.

Concessions Full-time students, Australian Social Security Card holders, Companion Card holders and Veterans’ Affairs pensioners are eligible for concession prices. Seniors Card holders are not eligible for concession prices except in the Matinee and

• By forwarding a completed subscription application, it is understood that you have accepted the terms and conditions. If you acquire tickets on behalf of anyone else you will be deemed to have agreed to these terms on your behalf as well as agent for them. • All transactions are final and refunds are not available. • TSO subscribers of more than 10 concerts per season can exchange tickets to any equivalent value seat at any concert in the TSO’s 2011 season, subject to availability FREE OF CHARGE.
