Tournament

On March 18th to 19th of 2023, the Concordian Squash Team took part in a TSRA Squash Youth Circuit hosted at the Rama Gardens Hotel Sports Complex. Ten Students from four different grades competed in the tournament across 5 age groups, of which Minnie (G6) took 1st place in the U13 Girls, Teak (G7) took 2nd place in the U13 boys, and Kenjung (G7) took 3rd place in the U15 boys.

Each participant showed great commitment and perseverance in each of their games as they often competed with players with far more experience than them. It was inspiring to witness every player treating this tournament as a valuable learning experience. Despite some players facing defeat, they eagerly sought additional games with their opponents to continue reflecting and improving their skills, and used time between games to practice with the more experienced players from different teams. We look forward to seeing more players play in the Squash Team as we compete in future tournaments.

Dragons

It’s been a great year for Dragon’s golf. Congratulations to Pei Pei for winning the Dragon’s Cup and a special shout out to Kan for being the only player to compete in all the events this year. I would also like to offer a fond farewell to Matthew. He has been on the team since 6th grade and has throughout the years been a great member of the team, always trying to improve, never giving up, always a positive influence on all of us. He will be missed. Good luck going forward Matthew!

I was very happy to see so many new players. And a big shout out to all the parents for the wonderful support you have given to our young but growing program.

So now everyone be sure to play a lot of golf over the summer. Hit it straight and hit it long!

The G5U table tennis team displayed a great performance at the AISAA Tournament. Concordian earned 1 gold and 2 silver medals for CHAMPIONS!!!

Dragons Table Tennis trained twice a week this year, each player noticeably improving in all elements of their game. Several different ways to serve, setting up the smash, moving the opponent, and increasing the pace and accuracy on the backhand. Once again we were AISAA Champions. We would like to give special mention to the 4 individual award winners below.
