PYP Exhibition 2024

In a spectacular showcase of talent and hard work, the 2024 PYP Exhibition at Concordian was nothing short of a triumph! As an integral component of the PYP, the Exhibition is the grand finale of the programme. At Concordian this is a culminating year-long unit that concludes in May. This final unit is dedicated to students using and showing all that they have learned through the PYP, then crafting riveting TED Talk-style presentations, process booths displaying their learning journeys and a captivating self-portrait art exhibit all themed around "How We Express Ourselves."

Throughout the year, students embarked on an academic adventure by selecting topics linked to a UN Sustainable Development Goal that piqued their interest. Their research journey was tailored to their passions, and they collaborated with like-minded peers to consolidate their learning and take impactful actions towards global betterment. Although the students led their own learning endeavors, they were supported by a robust network of adults within the school community, including teachers, parents, mentors, and guest speakers.

PYPX Art Exhibition

The PYP Art Exhibition showcased the culmination of artistic growth and aesthetic education among Grade 5 students within the PYP. Art serves as a means for broadening our understanding of the world, fostering diverse perspectives, and inspiring action for positive change. It provides a platform for selfexpression and appreciation for beauty while nurturing critical thinking abilities. The Grade 5 class excelled in the creation of their paintings. Their self

portraits and Artist Statements, represented each student’s beliefs in relation to the Exhibition topics they explored. All the artwork was linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, symbolizing a journey of enlightenment and optimism that represents this generation's commitment to shaping a more sustainable and equitable future.
