Star Search Talent Show By Dear, Grade 9 One day last term when I was walking down the hallway, Ms. YaƟma called me into her oĸce and asked me to be the host for the talent show. This was three days before the show, and also during the Ɵme of the year when there were a lot of tests, including math tests! In my mind, I was thinking that I would have to write the script, rehearse for the show, prepare for the big math test, and keep up with a bunch of other homework as well. I thought, “There’s no way I can be the MC. I don’t even have Ɵme to rehearse with my group!” But, as no one else wanted to do it, I accepted the oīer. I had to write the script, not only for me but for my MC partner Juseong as well! Then I rewrote it, printed it out, corrected some grammar, rewrote it (again!), and Įnally printed the Įnal copy. When we had our big rehearsal, some people had to go home early and we couldn’t get a perfect run-through, which was very diĸcult for us. Since this was my Įrst year to help organize it, I wanted the older grades and teachers to see that even though I’m sƟll young, I can organize a Talent Show for the whole MYP. As it turned out, the show was nice but could’ve been even beƩer if I we all had more Ɵme to pracƟce. To tell the truth, it was the most stressful week ever! Every day when I went home I always had more work than my friends and it was very hard for me because I didn’t really have anyone to give me advice. But Įnally we all got through it and I’m very proud of all of us. I would like to say thank you to everyone who parƟcipated the show, the judges, and the CIS staī. If not for all of you, I wouldn’t have had the strength to work hard for the show. Even though it was a Ɵring event to organize, I really had fun and I’m looking forward to the next Talent Show! :)
