Pretty in Pink

A ROMANTIC PINK MASTERPIECE FOR THIS 45TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION PRESENTED A WELCOME CHALLENGE FOR A CHILDREN’S PARTY STYLIST. BY ROCHELLE OF POP THE BALLOON! CHILDREN’S PARTIES

When I received the brief that the guest of honour wanted to create a beautiful styling moment for her 45th birthday, and it was to include all of the lovely details we have come to appreciate from styling children’s parties – I jumped at the chance!

Featuring a colour palette of pretty pinks, we started the design with a large white balloon wall with gold accents and a custom balloon garland with balloon flowers created by Keen Creations. To this we then added further interest by incorporating a large gold frame structure. This enabled us to soften the overall design by draping soft chiffon drapes, hanging pink arch windows by The Vinyl Mum as well as stunning floral displays.

The floral displays in particular were deconstructed arrangements which had been cleverly styled to wrap around the outside of the vases rather than within it. With eye catching large pink ostrich feathers, pink bunny tails, rose gold palm leaves and exquisite pink orchids – the florals created by Flowers by Louise added a touch of whimsy and romance to the setting.

For dessert there were pink and white cake pops with delicate pink and gold rimmed roses from Cake Pop Mum and a double height pink and white birthday cake confection by All Occassion Cakes that also carried the ostrich feathers from the floral arrangements for continuity.

On the dining table we placed gorgeous white crockery with ruffled edges, pink linen napkins and acrylic names of the guests. Included too were the sets of stunning pink glassware which was paired with a very grown up party favour – a mini bottle of pink sparkling wine!

The overall vibe was relaxed whilst sophisticated and allowed the guest of honour to dine in a setting featuring all of her favourite things in celebration of her 45th birthday. h
