Food, wine and good times! No wonder Italian themed party ideas are so popular! This 21st birthday party added some spice to the theme by featuring on-trend orange. By Rustic Balloons Melbourne.

After a crazy 12 months of lockdowns, restrictions and postponing multiple times Rustic balloons Melbourne was so excited to celebrate Lucy’s last night of being twenty one! Instead of having a twenty one plus one, we agreed it was best to celebrate the last 24 hours in style and created a bright, fun and luxe theme of “La dolce vita” (meaning the sweet life)

Lucy comes from an Italian background and dreamed of recreating an Italian summer party, in Melbourne’s cold winter month. We wanted to create something different, vibrant and had to work with her favourite Italian drink Aranciata Rossa (blood orange) as inspiration.

We brought the theme to life using all white tableware, table risers, different shaped and textured backdrops, ripple plinths, vases, fresh flowers, bright orange toned balloons, lots of traditional food and drinks and of course fresh oranges everywhere.

Thanks to our wonderful photographer Zena, we were able to capture this gorgeous Italian festive event of dancing to traditional Italian music, having Italian Bellini at the bar, chatting with friends and family and making many memories that were unforgettable. It was fair to say the night was a fun Italian fiesta!
