REMEMBER THE EMERGENCE OF NAKED CAKES? How about candy bar tables? Way back in 2010 when Instagram was still a place we were posting our basic breakfasts with random filters, party and event culture was already bubbling below the surface with novel and nascent ideas.

DIY designs, party themes, and colour matched decorations were beginning to take a life of their own as mums, brides and everyone else explored the creative side of celebrating.

Inspired by the mothers of all things party (Kara of Kara’s Party Ideas and Jillian of Catch My Party) and many other bloggers, Australia also began to infuse its own dose of mega creativity on to the scene. Enter some of our best-loved party businesses, creators and blogs – Katherine Sabbath, Favor Lane, Party Bebe and more.

In between drip cakes, balloon designs and more, Confetti Fair has been there to document and showcase for the better part of this decade!

Here are just a few of the best ideas we’ve featured over a decade of awesome parties. One thing is for sure – the ideas are as unique and creative as ever, and isolation has not dampened us one bit. Here’s to another ten and even more!
