After three superhero parties and nearly a fourth, I was so excited to plan and design this black and silver glam disco for my youngest. He loves being involved in the planning of his parties, and what got us over the line from Superhero to disco was the amazing disco ball bouncy castle. As soon as he saw this, there was no turning back.
When designing his birthday, I wanted to the transform the space into a shiny disco wonderland. I am so lucky to work with such amazing vendors who helped bring my vision to life. Some of the key styling elements included silver shimmer walls, gloss black panels, an incredible black and silver streamer install from the roof , stunning silver disco ball balloon garlands, LED dance floor and lots and lots of disco balls
It wouldn’t be a party without entertainment, the fave among the children was the disco ball bouncy castle with its own disco light and in-built speakers, it was like they had their own VIP disco. We also had face painting and the Sparkle Disco hosts kept the children entertained with dancing, games and bubbles.
To keep energy levels up, we had a children’s grazing table and for those with a sweet tooth we had a fairy floss cart, and delicious disco themed desserts. Always a special moment - the cutting of the birthday cake, this year we also had a two-tiered disco chocolate smash cake. I love watching the children’s faces as the cake gets hit for the first time, and they see all the lollies spill out.
As the party wrapped up, the guests were given custom designed thank you gift boxes filled with disco balls, glitter slime, bubbles. Being a winter party and keeping in the theme they also received round white-hot chocolate bombs. ♥
