The Launch of a New Strings Program

In the fall of 2021, Congressional launched a Strings Program with participation in grades 1-3 and a six-year plan to grow to include students in grades 1-8 and launch a school orchestra.

Unrestricted Gift: A gift made by a donor with no limitations on how the gift is to be used.

Designated Gift: A donation made with the stipulation that it be used for a particular purpose or program.

Pledge: A written agreement to donate a specified amount by the end of the fiscal year.

Challenge Gift: A gift that is paid only if the organization is able to raise additional funds from other sources.

Employee Matching Gift: A contribution to a charitable organization by an employee that is matched by a similar contribution from an employer.
