H A N D K E R C H I E F BALL. For Vanishing or Producing Silks (Copyright, 1943, by M. Kanter)

In this manuscript are combined the methods of leading performers, including the originator,, George Stillwell, and those of Dr.Harlan Tarbell author of the famous "TARBELL COURSE IN MAGIC". The Handkerchief Ball, made of aluminum, thin brass, or other light material, in the small size will hold three 13" silks;and the large size, about 1-7/8" in diameter, will hold five 13" silks. The larger one is best for all around use. The ball has a 1-1/8 inch opening on one side, and at the top of ball are two tiny holes through which a thin piece of catgut is threaded to form a loop, Fig* 1. Adjust the catgut loop to size that will slip over thumb and allow the ball to hang suspended at the center of the palm, Fig. 2. With ball suspended on back of hand, it rests in the position as in Fig. 3. PIG/b

Spread open the right fingers and bring right hand up to center of silk. While holding hands parallel, back of right to audience, left hand tucks silk into ball as shown in Fig* 5.
