TIMELY MHNTIOK Whatever your knowledge of Spirit mysteries, perhaps it is well to mention here, that the common practice with mediums in general however modern they appear is the use of slates to obtain spirit messages. These same slates however innocent they appear, nine out of ten have extra flaps which conceal the prewritten message contained on the slatetproper. While automatic writing with slates passed thru false panels, from double chair seats & tables are considered good, the fact remains to the use of a flap in the open is a far more presentable mystery. The most common use of the flap is shown in photo A. This flap has a
portion of a newspaper pasted on its rear face. When the message is finally exposed.the slate rested upon a sheet of newspaper conceals the flap. Photo B shows this flap. .
