That's where the seeds of my journey were planted," Arelis shares, her voice carrying the nostalgia of those defining moments. The vision to establish a trucking company took root early, inspired by her father's dedication. However, visions often come with a price tag, and Arelis paid it through the challenges of not one, not two, but three prior business ventures. "Failure isn't the end; it's a classroom," she reflects, her words a nod to the resilience sculpted in the crucible of setbacks. As the financial turbulence of 2008 shook the business world, Arelis found herself navigating uncharted waters. "It was like learning to dance in a storm. Tough, but it refined my skills," she shares, embodying the spirit of adaptability crucial for any entrepreneur weathering storms. Arelis, as a minority and women-owned business, understands the importance of diversity. "It's not just about breaking barriers; it's about building bridges," she asserts, underscoring the pivotal role diversity plays in fostering innovation and progress. From Modesty to Mastery Arelis Bonilla's journey with Aria Logistics is a saga of resilience, strategic growth, and a commitment to excellence. Let's rewind to the early days when Aria Logistics was just a seed of an idea in a modest office. "In the beginning, it was a one-person show. I wore every hat imaginable—sales, marketing, customer service—you name it," Arelis recalls, her voice carrying the weight of those early challenges. The road was rocky, peppered with setbacks and moments of doubt. Yet, undeterred, Arelis pressed on, using each obstacle as a stepping stone for growth. As a small operation, challenges were aplenty. all, we've tailored our services to optimize delivery times and enhance the overall customer experience," states Arelis. The company's proven track record in successful heavy goods delivery has positioned it as a trusted partner for businesses seeking reliable last-mile logistics services. "Trust is not just earned; it's cultivated with every successful delivery. Our track record is a testament to our commitment," asserts Arelis. Never content to rest on past achievements, Aria Logistics is expanding into new horizons to redefine convenience and efficiency in the logistics landscape. "The My Home Delivery app isn't just a service; it's a revolution in convenience. We're simplifying the transportation of oversized goods with a touch of innovation," remarks Arelis Bonilla. Launched in September, the My Home Delivery (MHD) app addresses a significant gap in the market, providing on-demand pick-up and delivery designed for big and bulky items. "Recognizing a gap is one thing; filling it with a seamless solution is
14 C X O M A G A Z I N E , J A N U A R Y 2 0 2 4
what sets us apart. The MHD app is our answer to oversized deliveries,"* states Arelis. The MHD app offers customers an on-demand experience that goes beyond mere delivery. "Efficiency, convenience, and making our customers' lives easier are at the heart of the MHD app," says Arelis. Customers can access instant quotes and book on-demand pick-ups for substantial items like furniture and appliances. "It's not just about moving things; it's about making the entire process effortless for our customers," emphasizes Arelis. Positioning itself as a superior alternative to traditional services like U-Haul, MHD ensures same-day delivery with fully insured carriers. "We're not just an alternative; we're a step ahead, ensuring the security and safety of every item we transport," declares Arelis. The app efficiently manages Certificates of Insurance (COIs) as needed, ensuring a seamless and secure transaction. "Security is non-negotiable. We've got every detail covered, from pick-up to delivery," assures Arelis. My Home Delivery isn't just an app; it's an extension of Arelis’ commitment to unparalleled convenience and peace of mind for customers dealing with heavy or unwieldy purchases. This ambitious venture to launch an ondemand pick-up and delivery service tailored to an underserved niche has the potential to transform how oversized goods are handled profoundly. "We're not just transforming deliveries; we're reshaping the entire marketplace," affirms Arelis. Navigating Uncharted Waters The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted Aria Logistics to reassess and adapt its business strategies, ultimately leading to the development of the My Home Delivery (MHD) App. The unprecedented challenges
and uncertainties brought about by the pandemic underscored the need for innovative solutions prioritizing safety and convenience. "The pandemic was a wake-up call, urging us to innovate and cater to the changing needs of consumers," reflects Arelis. The restrictions imposed by the pandemic revealed a growing demand for contactless and efficient solutions. With consumers increasingly relying on online shopping, the opportunity to create an on-demand pick-up and delivery service for big and bulky items became evident. The MHD App was conceived as a tailored response to these shifting market dynamics. "We saw an untapped opportunity to simplify the transportation of oversized goods in a way that aligns with the safety concerns and preferences of modern consumers," notes Arelis. As the pandemic accelerated the adoption of online shopping and home deliveries, the MHD App emerged as a strategic alignment with evolving consumer preferences. The app streamlines the delivery of oversized goods in a manner that is not only seamless but also secure. "The MHD App is not just about addressing the challenges posed by the pandemic; it's about meeting the demands of a new era of consumer behavior," emphasizes Arelis. In response to the pandemic, Aria Logistics implemented comprehensive safety measures and service enhancements to ensure the wellbeing of its team members and the continuity of logistics operations. "Our commitment to safety is paramount. Stringent hygiene protocols, regular sanitation of vehicles, mandatory mask-wearing, and social distancing measures were introduced across our facilities," says Arelis.

Additionally, the team embraced contingency planning to address disruptions in the supply chain, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of goods. Resilience and Determination For Arelis, the journey in the traditionally male-dominated trucking industry has been guided by a set of values and principles that extend beyond personal success to contribute to the empowerment of others. "Resilience and determination have been my steadfast companions in navigating the challenges of the trucking industry," notes Arelis. These qualities have not only fueled her personal journey but have become guiding lights for others aspiring to make their mark in unconventional domains. Being a female entrepreneur in a maledominated industry has underscored the importance of fostering a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunities. "By staying at the forefront of technological advancements and embracing a culture of continuous improvement, we aim to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of last-mile logistics," states Arelis. Her dedication to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in digitization reflects an unwavering commitment to driving positive change in the industry. Aria Logistics remains steadfastly positioned at the forefront of innovation and excellence within the logistics sector under her visionary leadership.

my Lipper, the driving force behind Lipper International Inc., didn't take the typical path of a CEO. Her journey was rooted in the unlikeliest of soil — education. Starting her career in the Masters Program in Education at URI, Amy initially explored the world of teaching at elementary schools. However, life had a different trajectory in store for her. In a twist of fate, Amy found herself on a side hustle, selling vacuums in New England to make ends meet. The experience opened her eyes to a newfound passion for sales. It was this unexpected turn that led her to approach her father, Herman Lipper, the founder and CEO of
Lipper International Inc., with a proposition that would alter the course of her career. In 1974, Amy officially joined the family business as a sales representative in the New England territory. What started as selling vacuums evolved into a remarkable skill for selling housewares. Climbing the corporate ladder swiftly, Amy became the National Sales Manager in 1978, a role that demanded her presence in multiple cities every other day, clocking over 150,000 miles each year. Yet, amidst the whirlwind of her professional life, Amy yearned for a more balanced existence. In 1980, she took a step back from her role as National Sales Manager to focus on starting a

family. Despite the step back, her passion for product development became evident as she introduced innovative designs based on the needs of key accounts. Recognizing Amy's flair for product development, her father elevated her to the position of President in 1987. However, Amy's appetite for learning and growth persisted. “As a mother of two boys, I needed balance between work, my personal life, and my ongoing education,” recounts Amy. In 1988, she enrolled in the OPM (Owner President Management) program at Harvard, a transformative experience covering 60% of the Harvard MBA course over two intense years. For Amy, the journey wasn't without its challenges. Being a woman in a leadership role, she learned the art of resilience. Her leadership approach evolved, emphasizing learning from failures rather than dwelling on them. "I learned the most from my failures and continued to press on," she reflects, embodying a tenacity that defines her leadership style. The Genesis and Growth of Lipper International Inc The roots of Lipper International Inc. stretch back to 1946 when it began as Lipper and Mann, an importer of fine glass and ceramic items from Japan. Situated on the seventh floor at 225 Fifth Avenue, New York, the showroom became a bustling hub where Herman Lipper, Seymour Mann, and a team of sales representatives showcased their merchandise to leading department stores, independent shops, jewelry stores, and home furnishing stores. In 1951, Herman Lipper made a significant mark on the porcelain dinnerware landscape by

developing the iconic Blue Danube pattern. The company's journey took a pivotal turn in 1963 when Herman Lipper acquired full ownership, leading to the birth of Lipper International Inc. As a family business, Lipper International Inc. possesses a distinctive ability to innovate swiftly and adapt to the ever-changing trends in the housewares market. Amy Lipper, the torchbearer of this legacy, has played a pivotal role in steering the company through the tides of evolution. “After giving birth to two boys in 1983 and 1986, I identified a gap in the market — a lack of children's furniture crafted from natural wood products. In 1988, I introduced the children’s small occasional furniture collection at affordable price points in select department stores,” shares Amy. Listening keenly to the needs of customers became a hallmark of Lipper's evolution. In 1990, the company began sourcing beechwood products from Thailand, challenging the dominance of plastic drawer organizers in the market. The year 2003 witnessed another milestone with the introduction of a collection of beechwood organizers, diversifying the product line. The spirit of innovation continued to propel Lipper International Inc. forward. In 2007, a wide assortment of bamboo organizational and serveware pieces made their way into the product offerings, reflecting the company's commitment to sustainability and versatility. A significant leap came in 2016 when Lipper International Inc. introduced one of the largest collections of "live-edge" serve ware. Crafted from acacia wood imported from Thailand, these pieces not only reflected aesthetic sophistication but also showcased the company's dedication to embracing new design trends.
Beyond product innovation, the company's facilities and operations underwent a transformative phase. In 2019, Lipper International Inc. embraced the tech revolution by implementing cloud-based ERP, WMS, and EDI software. This strategic move not only expedited order processing and inventory turnover but also streamlined operational efficiencies. The results were substantial, with overhead expenses reduced by a third and the elimination of company overtime during peak seasons.
As a family business, Lipper International Inc. possesses a distinctive ability to innovate swiftly and adapt to the everchanging trends in the housewares market
The Pillars of Success At the heart of Lipper International Inc.'s ethos lies four foundational pillars: integrity, accountability, innovation, and adaptation. These principles not only define the company's core values but serve as the guiding forces propelling its enduring success. Amy says, “Our longstanding relationships with factories for over four decades are built on honest communication and accountability. We do what we say, and we say what we’ll do.” Transparency is a cornerstone of their interactions with customers, providing clear insights into lead times and the costs associated with developing new and exclusive product lines. This commitment to integrity ensures trust in every business interaction. Innovation is not just a buzzword at Lipper; it's a way of life. The company actively encourages innovation in both its products and processes, recognizing that the key to staying at the forefront of the industry is empowering its employees to drive change. “We constantly encourage innovation in our products and processes by putting the ownership of these

developments in the hands of our employees,” states Amy. Lipper International Inc. doesn't merely meet industry standards; it sets them. A standout practice is the meticulous inspection of one carton of every item in every shipment that arrives at the warehouse, regardless of the item's longstanding presence in the product lineup. This commitment to quality control is a testament to the company's dedication to delivering excellence. Dealing primarily with natural products like wood, Lipper acknowledges the impact of weather conditions and the potential for human error in the manufacturing process. To circumvent these challenges, the company's ownership of its warehouse becomes a strategic advantage. Amy explains, “Owning our own warehouse and inspecting the merchandise ourselves, we have avoided many problems, and we have also been able to improve our products from time to time.”

Defining Identity, Inspiring Accomplishments Lipper International Inc. proudly wears the badge of certification from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), a distinction that goes beyond paperwork and numbers. Amy shares, "Being a certified member of WBENC is not just a recognition; it's a journey of connection and shared aspirations." For Amy, the certification has been a gateway to a community of fellow women-owned business owners. "Meeting with other women in the same boat is not just enlightening; it's a source of inspiration. We share ideas, dreams, and challenges. It keeps my focus sharp on what we aim to achieve, not just as a family-owned but a women-owned family business," Amy reflects. As women increasingly step into leadership roles, the desire to mentor and share experiences becomes a driving force. Amy notes, "Most
women I meet today want to be mentors in addition to running their businesses. It's a shift in the landscape, and it's beautiful. We're embracing not just the practical but the multifaceted nature of being a woman in business." Amy emphasizes the role of WBENC certification in promoting and enabling female leaders within Lipper International Inc. "It's not just about recognition; it's about empowerment. We actively contribute to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for women within our workforce. We want to be a catalyst for change and progress." Unique Challenges, Unyielding Resolve Amy’s journey as a woman in a leadership position comes with its unique set of challenges. "In the early days, being the Bosses’ daughter and the questions about who was taking care of our children while I traveled overseas were part of the narrative. Would a man face such questions? Probably not," Amy reflects. Rather than succumbing to narrow perspectives, Amy focused on action. "I didn't allow these challenges to weigh me down. I stayed focused on the task at hand, pushing forward and letting my actions speak louder than the words of those with limited perspectives." Amy's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity isn't just a corporate strategy; it's a reflection of her upbringing in the diverse landscape of the greater New York City area. "Diversity has been a part of my

entire life," Amy affirms. From the warehouse in Queens to the current one in Wallingford, CT, Lipper International Inc. has nurtured a diverse team. "Diversity isn't just about meeting quotas; it's about creating a melting pot of perspectives. It's the perfect ground for new ideas, especially in product innovation. We celebrate differences and recognize the strength they bring to our organizational tapestry," adds Amy. From Sustainability to Innovation: The Road Ahead Amy takes pride in two specific additions to the product portfolio as she reflects on her career. These are the children’s furniture line and the beechwood organization lines, which were introduced during the early stages of her presidency. She recounts, “Between juggling my responsibilities as a mother, a leader, a wife, and as a student, I am particularly fond of the memories I have during this time as I strove to innovate and thrive in the face of adversity.”

These innovations not only diversify Lipper International Inc.'s offerings but also showcase the resilience and vision that define Amy's leadership. Looking to the future, the vision for Lipper International Inc. is firmly rooted in the value of sustainability. Amy, who is at the forefront of this vision, shares that sustainability is a cornerstone for them. Their key innovations revolve around introducing affordable, natural products that are sustainably sourced and manufactured. As the world makes strides in reducing carbon emissions, they are keenly watching for developments in manufacturing processes and innovations related to their product line. For Lipper International Inc., the future is intricately tied to advancements that align with their commitment to environmentally responsible practices. The company stands ready to embrace new opportunities that arise in the quest for sustainable manufacturing.

John, could you brief us about your background and areas of interest? What made you want to become a motivational speaker? In many ways, life kept nudging me to become a motivational speaker. Speaking is also in my genes! One of my grandfathers was a CEO, and the other was a Baptist Minister. Both were storytellers before
28 C X O M A G A Z I N E , J A N U A R Y 2 0 2 4
motivational speaking became a profession. My late mother was a poet, playwright, English teacher and musical performer. She revealed to me my precious connection to the natural world and how to align right understanding with right action. My father was a Mathematics teacher and computer scientist who worked at Stanford. He instilled in me the satisfaction that comes from solving problems and teaching others to do the same.
As Head Boy at school, Sports Association President in college and student representative at business school, someone was always handing me a microphone and pushing me on stage. After college, I spent four years working in technology sales for Hewlett Packard and IBM. Then for seven years, I taught and coached aspiring athletes to excel. Building rapport is something I excel at, so motivating people to buy, learn and perform was not difficult. When motivational speaking became an option, I seized it. Looking back, twenty-five years ago, an intuitive friend predicted that my speaking journey would one day place me in arenas and stadiums. They were right.
I gain a lot of satisfaction helping people break poor habits, grow successful businesses and live ethical, grateful, family/friendfilled, emotionally expressive, creative, simple and courageous lives
You have educated 20,000+ leaders in 20+ industries with conference keynotes and workshops, facilitated 200+ strategies, mediations, advised policymakers and consulted communities and transformed 50+ cultures, coached 200+ executives and led projects + change programs. What do you find the most fascinating about being a motivational speaker? There are many fascinating aspects. Each gig is unique – even if the topic, takeaways, stories and audience members don’t change. It was Heraclitus who said, “No person ever steps into the same river twice, for it’s not the same river, and they are not the same person.” With some audiences, there can be a heckler who will shout out an objection and want to challenge what is being said. What I find fascinating is that when I notice that heckler in a future audience, they are on board, often having explored one or more of my books and even brought their motherin-law, spouse or trusted advisor along with them!

I’ve explored this. At least two things are at work here. One has to do with truth, and the other with connection. German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer noticed that “All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as self-evident.” Unlike an entertainer or inspirational speaker who shares stories and ideas, a motivational speaker’s job is to challenge limiting beliefs, embrace truth and effect behavioural change in their audience. In other words, coach them. Needless to say, not everyone in the audience embraces change at the same rate. The speaker-audience connection also fascinates me. When I speak, I find four or five audience members with whom I make eye contact
and speak almost exclusively to. I’ve learned to spot such people. They are relaxed and very present – ‘available’ if you like. Their minds and hearts are open, not closed. Once I focus on these ‘rapport leaders,’ as I like to call them, it is easy to read the entire audience through the facial expressions and bodily gestures of the rapport leaders. Sadly, what fascinates me the most is how much personal power people in my audiences have relinquished in their lives. Many trade their health and wellbeing for a numb or depressed life filled with addictions like social media scrolling, workaholism, FOMO, alcohol, fast food, drugs or gambling. I gain a lot of satisfaction helping people break poor habits, grow successful businesses and live ethical, grateful, family/friend-filled,
emotionally expressive, creative, simple and courageous lives. You are also an author of three popular books on strategy and leadership. Out of them, which one of the books was the toughest to write and why? I have two answers to that question. The easy answer is the book I am currently writing. My new book focuses on leadership for both beginning and seasoned CEOs. It is 80% written but only 20% complete. The last 20% of any book is the toughest and that’s where I find myself at the moment. The best answer is probably my very first book, which I completed in 2012. It was tough committing pen to paper initially. My first book was a challenging endeavour,

taking nearly five dedicated and disciplined years, along with twenty-five thousand dollars in professional editing fees. Even when my first book was finished, I was still not happy with it and chose not to publish it. Deep down I knew I could do better. Do you agree that many people are becoming speakers just because it is a trend? Yes. With the continued rise of YouTube channels and social media platforms, millions of people are becoming speakers every year. Many are making valuable contributions in important areas, including health, news reporting, business education, climate action, social reform and personal development. Who is your inspiration in life? I am inspired by people who reverse the shifting tides of social apathy, government inertia and global disorder, that are so prevalent in our fragile world. Some are famous, like Al Gore and Greta Thunberg. Others are less famous, like the one-hundred-and-one courageous UN aid workers who gave their lives in Gaza last month. Because I invite audience members on stage to share aspects of their lives, I find these courageous souls inspirational. I was inspired by the opportunity to share the stage this year with Noel Pearson, the architect of the Voice proposal giving First Nations people formal recognition in the Australian Constitution. My mother inspired me. Perhaps my most challenging podium this year was giving a eulogy at my mother’s funeral. In it, I shared that when I was just sixteen, Mum and I joined People for Nuclear Disarmament to help reduce
32 C X O M A G A Z I N E , J A N U A R Y 2 0 2 4
US and Soviet nuclear stockpiles and push to end the Cold War. Mum was never idle. In her final decade of life, she established Rural Australians for Refugees in her city and worked tirelessly to illuminate the lives of others. Mum taught me that the true measure of a society, or indeed any organization, is how it treats its most vulnerable. What are some of the necessary ingredients you believe people must acquire in order to become successful? Success questions are often about consciousness.
For many, success is measured against a benchmark or a standard. Investment firms strive to beat the index, while others simply buy the index. Research scientists induce tumours in mice and then try different drugs to save them, while others succeed in avoiding cancer altogether by living offgrid by a lake with a relaxed and natural existence. Regrettably, too many of us experience our success through our social media identities and constant comparisons. Recently, I’ve enjoyed watching Joshua Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus join the speaking circuit to share their idea of living a minimalist

life. Their concept of only acquiring what you absolutely need is one necessary ingredient for a successful life. In my strategy talks and books, I offer leaders my ingredients for a successful business. My six-step strategic mindset process from ‘The Strategy Book’ can be summarized by answering three questions: Question 1. What is really going on here? Question 2. What are our options? Question 3. What will we do? Most businesses don’t last more than three years and sadly some CXOs are not disciplined or skilled enough to answer these questions properly. We are terrible at predicting what the future will look like. In my motivational talks and strategy workshops, I help leaders sort the various external signals they can see, and can’t yet see, into trends, megatrends and radical uncertainties to assist in navigating their business future.
Goals often involve acquiring or going after something external and our dreams provide short-lived adventures and mental escapes from our true nature

How do you keep yourself motivated in these tough times? Staying motivated at any time is easier if three things line up. Firstly, I need to be able to see the inherent value of the client work at hand. Secondly, I need to believe that the client, my team and I are all up to the task. Thirdly, is the client work I am undertaking something that would pass the ‘sunlight test’ – that is, would I be happy if it were reported on the front page of tomorrow’s newspaper? On those occasions when I miss landing a gig, I remember what I learned in sales: ‘no’ usually means ‘not now’ rather than ‘ not ever’.
Who is your favourite motivational speaker? W Mitchell is my favourite motivational speaker and is a dear friend. His message is heartfelt and timeless. Thirty-five years ago, Mitchell opened my eyes to the world of motivational speaking, and I have not looked back. Twenty-five years ago, Mitchell travelled three years in a row from Colorado to Byron Bay to share his deeply personal and motivational life story with each of my three daughters’ year three classes. What are your goals and dreams for the future? I feel blessed to have accomplished my bucket list relatively early in life. These days, I have very few goals or dreams for myself. However, they were a necessary part of my life for many years. Instead, I hold loving intentions and express love through actions. My twin goals are to serve others and remember who I am. Grace served me with a series of spiritual awakenings in my forties. Eternal moments where neither the past nor the future existed. The familiar ‘I am’, as an observer of reality and reality itself became one. A profound feeling of completeness occurred. There was nowhere to go and nothing to be. Goals often involve acquiring or going after something external and our dreams provide short-lived adventures and mental escapes from our true nature. I enjoy making time for open-hearted gazes into the eyes of freshly minted newborns, because they embody the pure nature of being without a personality. I also enjoy making time for open-hearted gazes into the eyes of those who remain courageous in the midst of their suffering.
All human beings experience suffering. The courage some exhibit in the face of suffering fills me with compassion. The Third Patriarch of Zen was right about freedom from suffering when he said, “The great way is open to those with no preferences.” With accelerating wealth disparity, planetary strife and mass extinctions ahead, I have a slight preference to go. But not to Mars. Elon Musk and the trillionaires can have that one. What will keep me here is a sense of oneness, compassion, the joy of being and that aspect of myself that was never born and will never die. What one word best sums you up? I asked my wife, my daughter, her partner and a client, and they said, “compassionate,” “loud,” “confident,” and “competent” respectively. Projections of others aside, my picks would be “empty” or “resourceful.” I have a preference for “empty,” so let’s go with “resourceful.” Being a role model for so many, what is your advice for wannabe motivational speakers? It sounds cliché, but choosing to be a motivational speaker is a journey, not a destination. You must be curious and willing to learn. My advice is to show up early and be prepared. Meet some of your audience before you go on stage to find out who they are and what they need. Be grateful. Stay flexible and be ready to give. Finally, take a few quiet moments at each event just before you go on stage to ask the universe to support you and the people you are about to serve.

George believes that great leadership is not a one-person show but a collective team effort. He thinks success can only be achieved by uniting a team towards a shared vision. For George, financial leaders must adapt to new technologies while prioritizing risk management, ethical leadership, and balancing long-term goals and agility. Vision Unveiled: Bridging the SME Gap Curlec is a trailblazer in financial technology, reshaping the payment ecosystem for SMEs. Founded in 2017 by visionary leaders attuned to the needs of underserved businesses, the company embarked on a mission to revolutionize Direct Debit payments with its official launch in 2018. The seeds of Curlec were sown with a clear vision - to democratize the Direct Debit payment system for SMEs traditionally overlooked by banks. Recognizing the market gap, the co-founders seized the opportunity to serve these enterprises, facilitating seamless transactions by bridging the gap between Buyers, Sellers, and their Banks. Today, Curlec stands as a pivotal player in Malaysia's business landscape, serving hundreds of businesses, including esteemed names like AXA, Funding Societies, and Axiata Digital. "We envisioned a financial ecosystem where SMEs could navigate payments with ease, leveling the playing field in an arena dominated by larger corporations," reflects George Yeoh Wee Hock, shedding light on the genesis of Curlec. Initially centered around bank-to-bank payments via Direct Debit, Curlec responded to customer demand and merchant requirements by expanding its offerings. The company evolved into a comprehensive platform that not only facilitates bank payments but also encompasses card payments, payouts, and subscription management. This transformation was a strategic move, aligning Curlec with the diverse needs of its growing clientele. "Our evolution was driven by a commitment to meeting the dynamic demands of businesses. While Direct Debit was our starting point, we
recognized the necessity to offer a broader spectrum of services," explains George. In fact, George’s strategic prowess encourages Curlec to consider a transformative initiative aimed at enterprise corporations in the online payments and collection platforms industry. The strategy involved developing customized solutions tailored to the unique needs of large businesses. "We understood that enterprise clients required more than a one-size-fits-all solution. Our team worked tirelessly to create payment processing systems seamlessly integrated with ERP and accounting software," says George. These tailored solutions brought automation to invoicing, streamlined bulk payment processing, and provided detailed reporting, empowering large corporations to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work. Dedicated account management and support further solidified partnerships, laying the groundwork for sustained business growth. "Our success lies in understanding the intricacies of our clients' operations and crafting solutions that not only meet but exceed their expectations," George asserts, emphasizing the commitment to excellence that defines Curlec's journey. Striking the Balance: A Multi-Faceted Approach In the intricate domain of Fintech, where precision meets profitability, George Yeoh, as the Head of Finance in Curlec, orchestrates a delicate balance between deploying cost mitigation controls and ensuring sustained financial success. automation of processes reducing operational costs while concurrently enhancing efficiency. "Technology is our ally in this endeavor, allowing us to streamline operations without compromising on excellence," George affirms. Strategic partnerships form another pillar of this approach. Collaborating with third-party service providers in areas such as compliance, cybersecurity, and customer support optimizes costs without compromising the quality of essential functions. "By forging alliances with experts in specific domains, we ensure a costeffective yet robust operational framework," says George.
A continuous review of the cost structure is integral. Identifying areas for optimization ensures financial efficiency, and implementing scalable infrastructure, coupled with cloudbased solutions, proves invaluable, particularly during rapid growth phases. Curlec and Razorpay: A Confluence of Support and Innovation The collaboration with Razorpay, a significant development in Curlec's journey, exemplifies the intersection of support and innovation. The fusion of Curlec and Razorpay under the Razorpay Group creates a dynamic force in
the Fintech landscape, simplifying the world of payments. "Curlec by Razorpay weaves an invisible thread connecting businesses and customers. It goes beyond transactions; it's about facilitating seamless interactions in the financial realm," George explains. In the local payment gateway scene, where technological sophistication is often lacking, Curlec stands out as a bridge, offering the best of both worlds. The collaboration seamlessly integrates cutting-edge Indian technology with local knowledge and support, providing consumers and businesses with a holistic and technologically advanced payment experience. "Our collaboration with Razorpay has allowed us to leverage their expertise and range of products, enriching the services we offer to our clientele," George emphasizes. Curlec's ascent to success is not only marked by its operational strategies but also by the support of prestigious investors like Sequoia Capital India, Tiger Global, Lone Pine Capital, and TCV. These backers were instrumental in the startup phase, providing funding and working capital in 2017. However, it's noteworthy that by the close of 2021, all these investors had sold off their stakes in Curlec to Razorpay. "The support of esteemed investors has graced our journey. Their belief in our vision during the startup phase propelled us forward," acknowledges George. On the flip side, Curlec is a part of Y Combinator, which is more than a prestigious badge; it catalyzes growth and global impact. George reflects on the impact of this Silicon Valley tech accelerator on Curlec's trajectory in the Fintech sphere in Asia. "Y Combinator is a bridge to global opportunities. The access to

a global network, mentorship, and expertise propels startups like Curlec & Razorpay to refine products, scale efficiently, and gain invaluable insights into global best practices. This exposure fosters cross-border collaborations, facilitating the transfer of knowledge and expertise. and cash flow management domain. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning are poised to revolutionize cash flow optimization, while blockchain technology promises enhanced security and efficiency in payment processing. "The Fintech arena is not just about transactions; it's about transforming financial experiences. Sustainability and the integration of ESG factors will shape decision-making, aligning financial strategies with broader societal goals," George asserts. The relentless march toward a cashless society continues, with Southeast Asia spearheading this transition. Malaysia, emerging as a potential Fintech hub for Multinationals, stands at the forefront of this shift. For corporations, online business wallets are set to become indispensable, offering streamlined payments, heightened security, and integrated financial management. "We are witnessing a digital metamorphosis, and adopting Fintech solutions is no longer a luxury but a necessity for businesses of all scales. However, it's crucial to recognize that large enterprises and MNCs are catching up with the speed of technological progress in the online payment and collection sphere," notes George. The dynamic Fintech industry isn't without its challenges. Regulatory compliance, cybersecurity threats, and consumer trust are formidable hurdles. George emphasizes the importance of robust cybersecurity measures, staying abreast of evolving regulations, and investing in advanced technologies like AI and machine learning to thwart fraudulent activities. "In a landscape where trust is paramount, transparency and clear communication with our customers are non-negotiable. Collaboration
with traditional financial institutions and regulators is key to navigating regulatory challenges and fostering innovation on an industry-wide scale," adds George. Pioneering Tomorrow's Financial Frontier Drawing from his extensive experience, George offers sage advice to the next generation of leaders in the financial and Fintech sectors. He underscores the importance of adaptability, innovation, and a deep understanding of technology's applications in finance. "Staying adaptable in the face of change is paramount. Embrace innovation, foster a deep understanding of technology, and build strong networks. Seek mentorship to gain valuable insights from those who have traversed similar paths," George advises. In sales and marketing, George encourages thinking "outside the box" and building a brand rather than merely selling a commodity. The key is to offer consulting services to Enterprise corporations, optimizing the bestin-class Fintech products to enhance revenue and operational efficiency. "A customercentric approach, staying abreast of regulatory changes, and prioritizing cybersecurity are nonnegotiable aspects of success in this dynamic industry. Remember, it's not just about selling a product; it's about providing solutions that resonate with the evolving needs of businesses," emphasizes George. Can you tell us a bit about your background and what led you to become a Mindset & Life Coach, particularly focusing on CEOs, leaders, and entrepreneurs? My professional journey unfolds against the backdrop of the dynamic hospitality industry, a narrative initiated at the tender age of fourteen. Originating from South Africa, my fervor for the realm of hotels guided me to Les Roches Hotel School Switzerland. Post my graduation in 1993, I navigated through several 5-star establishments and ventured into entrepreneurship. A significant highlight is my role as the youngest General Manager overseeing one of Europe's largest integrated resorts for an impressive 13 years. The transformative period of 2019-2020, marked by the upheaval of COVID-19, became serendipitous. Stumbling upon Tony Robbins and Mindvalley's coaching masterclasses sparked a profound interest, leading to a journey of study and certification. This path culminated in my role as a mindset and life coach tailored specifically for C-level executives, leaders, and entrepreneurs. Upon my return to the professional arena post the COVID-19 pandemic, my perspective on achieving work-life balance underwent a significant evolution. The encounter with burnout, exhaustion, and associated pressures deviated from my perception of an executive lifestyle. Having personally navigated complete burnout, including panic attacks and a sense of disconnection from the meaning of my role, I am on a mission to support those still grappling with the debilitating symptoms of being an exhausted leader. My goal is to help them rediscover a sense of vitality and purpose.
In your coaching practice, how do you emphasize the importance of cultivating a resilient and positive mindset, especially for professionals in leadership roles? Understanding the power of empathy, I aim to connect with individuals on a deeper level. In essence, my coaching style is not just a methodology; it's a commitment to being a supportive partner in the transformative journey of those seeking to achieve greatness. How do you define effective leadership, and how does it contribute to creating professionalism and high morale within organizations? Effective leadership, in my view, involves a blend of strategic vision, authenticity, and the ability to inspire others. It's about creating a work environment that promotes professionalism and high morale. A true leader not only achieves results but also nurtures a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Leadership, in my book, is like the conductor of a symphony. It's not just about giving orders; it's about orchestrating a harmonious blend of vision, strategy, and, most importantly, people. A great leader brings out the best, setting a clear vision and navigating challenges with decisiveness and adaptability. It's the key to unlocking a team's full potential, fostering a spirit of cooperation, and creating a collaboration jam that everyone wants to be a part of.
A great leader brings out the best, setting a clear vision and navigating challenges with decisiveness and adaptability
The concept of a "bulletproof" mindset is intriguing. How do you define this mindset, and what practical tips or exercises do you recommend for individuals to enhance their mental resilience? The "bulletproof" mindset isn't about avoiding challenges; it's about cultivating resilience in the face of adversity. It involves viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth. Practical tips include incorporating mindfulness practices into daily routines, setting goals aligned with personal values, and embracing the FlipIt Method™ – a proactive approach to flipping challenges into stepping stones. It's not just a mental shield; it's a dynamic force that propels individuals toward their goals with grace and determination. What trends do you see emerging in the fields of leadership and wellbeing, and how do you think they will shape the future of coaching and mindset development? Leadership trends shift towards holistic wellbeing, recognizing success tied to overall health.
Coaching incorporates well-being, work-life balance, and mental health. Modern leaders seek holistic approaches for a balanced and fulfilled life. The future of coaching involves a more comprehensive approach, acknowledging that sustainable success is grounded in a healthy, fulfilled workforce. As a certified Holobody Coach, the executives, leaders, founders who come to work with me all have one common goal—they want to add years to their lives encompassing mind, body, and spirit. This is the future. How has technology influenced personal development and coaching? What advice do you have for individuals navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age? In the digital age, technology has revolutionized coaching by providing accessibility and resources at our fingertips. However, the advice is to use technology mindfully. While it offers convenience, finding a balance by incorporating digital detoxes is crucial. Technology should enhance, not replace, genuine human connections.

The "bulletproof" mindset isn't about avoiding challenges; it's about cultivating resilience in the face of adversity
Leveraging tech tools should be a strategic choice, ensuring they complement rather than overshadow the personal touch in coaching relationships. The concern here is in the younger generation, our children who are spending way too much time on their phones scrolling through social media, which, in time, will have an impact on their mental stress. For aspiring leaders and professionals looking to enhance their personal and professional lives, what advice or strategies would you recommend for sustained success? For sustained success, aspiring leaders and professionals need to embrace continuous learning. Surrounding themselves with a supportive network that fosters growth is key. Seeking guidance when needed is a sign of strength, not weakness. Challenges are part of the journey, viewed as opportunities to learn and evolve. Authenticity is the North Star; setting clear goals and staying true to personal values ensures a meaningful and enduring path to success. It's not just about reaching the summit; it's about maintaining that altitude with integrity and purpose.

and understanding. I am still here on this earth to earn the gifts that were bestowed upon me. I work every day to pay it forward and inspire those in this world who feel that the chips are stacked against them and that there is no hope. I am committed to being a 'Hope Dealer.'" The birth of AV360 Wellness was inspired by Alex's personal encounters with healthcare and the realization that he could either lament the existing issues or actively contribute solutions. Alex emphasizes, "Our core values are that every person is on a spectrum, and their situations are just as unique as their fingerprints, which requires investigation and a listening ear to not only do no harm but to do the most good!" What sets AV360 Wellness apart is its commitment to a paradigm shift in healthcare, merging Quantum Medicine and Naturopathy. Alex calls it a 'Lifeguard versus Coastguard' approach. He explains, “It is the idea that we need to create a foundation and baseline for the individual so we help the body heal itself through best practices and allowing the body to have all that it needs naturally to do all the duties needed for overall health.” Nurturing Wellness by Listening, Customizing and Innovating At AV360 Wellness, Alex and his team start with simply listening to the patient and their story/experiences. He explains, “We believe that the individual is an expert in their own life, and we need to take that moment to listen thoroughly so we can understand where they are at mentally and physically." Building rapport and trust are foundational, enabling the team to treat the person holistically rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. As the

AV360 Wellness's mission to empower clients through the highest quality programs involves a commitment to customization based on individual needs. Alex elaborates, "Since all programs for each patient are customized to their needs, no matter what that may be, we ensure that we are always providing the best care available through the best empirically researched treatments and modalities." The organization conducts its own research, publishing white papers to showcase its diligence and position as a change agent in the industry. An example of this innovation is NeuroRebound, a technique created by Alex to address Parkinson's disease and assist athletes by remapping neurological transmissions and behavioral responses related to movement activation. Discussing the integration of quality research into AV360 Wellness's programs, Alex says, "We are constantly creating white papers through literature reviews to ensure we are answering questions to issues that the healthcare industry is facing." Additionally, AV360 Wellness actively participates in the creation of protocols for pre and post-surgical techniques for various chronic conditions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each patient's needs. Regular data sequences are run on all programs, allowing for the management and evaluation of outcomes and success. This data-driven approach enables continuous adjustments to increase efficacy over time.

that often accompany diagnoses or recovery. The organization offers coaching calls to family members, recognizing that the impact of a diagnosis extends beyond the individual. Alex emphasizes, "No one should face their battles alone, and when they have loved ones, those individuals need help too." AV360 Wellness aims to heal both the mind and body, acknowledging the interconnectedness of mental and physical health.
In terms of tailoring services for a diverse range of individuals, from those with chronic illnesses to top athletes, Alex underscores the importance of recognizing unique needs across various dimensions. He says, "Everyone has unique sets of needs through many different means, such as culturally, physically, emotionally, biologically, genetically, etc." AV360 Wellness maximizes individual potential by creating personalized baselines and gold standards of assessment. This approach allows clients to see success rates in their everyday lives, fostering accountability for both clinicians and patients. Alex described this approach as "honest, transparent, and driven." When it comes to engineering programs for long-term sustainability and growth, Alex introduced the concept of Behavior Movement Therapy coined by AV360 Wellness. This innovative approach combines physical therapy, biomechanics, applied behavioral analysis, and cognitive behavioral therapy. The goal is to undo old behaviors that may lead to injury or weakness by addressing the psychology of movement. Alex explains, "We teach mechanisms through physical therapy and biomechanics to create long-term effects through behavioral changes that are sustainable by the nature of changing the compensation behaviors." A Human-Centric Approach and an Empowerment in Wellness Empowering clients to actively participate in their healing journey involves a unique approach at AV360 Wellness. Alex explains,
"We believe that experiences are powerful, and we use a technique that employs life coaching techniques along with care and empathy." The organization emphasizes realness and honesty in interactions with patients, fostering a sense of vulnerability that may be uncommon in traditional clinical settings. This authenticity creates mutual respect and a real human experience, encouraging active participation from clients in their wellness journey. In terms of principles or practices for ongoing well-being, AV360 Wellness tailors specific techniques for each patient based on their unique needs, both physically and mentally. Alex highlights, "We teach mechanisms or thought control, nutrition, motivation, strength, and mobility through the mechanisms that we discover through treatment sessions that make sense to them and specifically them." This personalized approach ensures that clients can incorporate practices into their daily lives that align with their individual needs and circumstances. Looking toward the future, Alex shared the ambitious vision for AV360 Wellness. "The vision is to have multiple clinics nationwide and travel the world speaking about the paradigm shift that I am trailblazing." The organization is also launching a podcast that amplifies its mission and provides a platform for special guests, giving people a voice in areas where they might feel silenced. This forwardthinking vision reflects AV360 Wellness's commitment to expanding its impact globally and promoting a paradigm shift in healthcare.

holesterol occurs naturally in the body. It plays vital roles such as producing bile acids to digest fatty foods, metabolising vitamin D in the skin, making hormones and building cellular membranes. Many people know it as cholesterol test. It can also be called a lipid profile test. This test gives the best results when samples are taken before ingesting any food or water in the morning. A fasting duration of 8 to 12 hours is necessary after having dinner, in preparation for the next day. When this test is done with fasting, it is called fasting lipid profile test. It measures the amount of cholesterol and other fats in the blood. A complete cholesterol test consist of:

Total cholesterol level (TC): which signifies the total cholesterol in a person’s blood. Triglycerides (TG): these kind of fat in the blood are responsible for providing energy to the body. If the body does not use this fat, it stores or saves it. When TG exceeds normal level, it may be a sure-fire sign for heart disease or other complicated health issues. When TG is below normal level in the blood, it may result into lethargy, loss in weight, dry skin, brittle hair, muscle wasting and diarrhoea. In some instances, diseases such as hyperthyroidism, a condition whereby the thyroid gland is overactive thereby making too much thyroid hormone. Malnutrition, a condition of lack of proper

nutrition or malabsorption syndrome, which is difficulty in absorbing nutrients from food or it can be termed difficulty in digesting food. All these may result into one having low level of TG in the bloodstream. Low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL): this kind of fat is generally termed the bad or “demonic” cholesterol because it derives joy in building up in the arteries, raising the risk of heart attack and stroke. High density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL): this kind of cholesterol is termed the good or “angelic” cholesterol because it clears away the deposits of LDL in the arteries. A series of factors can make it low beyond its normal range such as genetic factors, high TG in the blood, sedentary lifestyle, hypertension and smoking. level due to treatment with fibrates, statins, niacin, oral oestrogen replacement therapy and excessive alcohol intake. People who need this test mostly are: People whose tests had once revealed high values of cholesterol, type 2 diabetes individuals, those engaging in sedentary lifestyles, obese people, smokers, adults from 20 years of age, to do the test in every 2 to 3 years, after 40 years, the doctor calculates the risk and suggests frequent duration. Children of 9 to 11 years should do this test once and repeat it at 17 to 20 years because at puberty, hormones can alter test results. Information received from the cholesterol test can help doctors determine or detect if there is plaque formation in the arteries, if such patient can develop heart disease or stroke. with high level of cholesterol may produce no symptoms, besides, it does not exclude a slender person. Not all fat people have high cholesterol values. Now, too much or high cholesterol in the body accumulates to form plaque in the arteries. The plaque formed narrows the arteries, thereby reducing the flow of blood and oxygen to the heart. This can result in a heart attack. What you will encounter at the Medical Laboratory: Just like any other test involving blood collection, it is also a fairly simple procedure which involves drawing blood from a vein with needle and syringe or vacutainer. The technician finds the location of a suitable vein in the arm, cleans the area with antiseptic, wraps the arm with a tourniquet to help the vein fill with blood. The vein is pierced with a sterile

needle, the vial is filled with blood through the vacutainer, the tourniquet removed and a dry cotton swab would be placed on the insertion site to stop bleeding, then covered with bandage. There is no big deal after collecting the blood sample, the patient can resume his/her daily activities. The results of the test will enable the doctor know the next step of action to take as said in the previous passage. The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends aiming for the following levels of cholesterols and triglyceride: Total cholesterol: below 200mg/dl LDL cholesterol: below 100mg/dl HDL cholesterol: at or above 60mg/dl Triglycerides: below 150mg/dl Now, it is obvious to us that high cholesterol levels may lead to risk of cardiovascular issues and stroke. Regular medical check-up is essential in order to curb it or guide against falling a victim. If the results are on the high side, do not keep quiet, do not hesitate to speak with your doctor immediately. Regular and not over strenous exercise is not a sin, quality sleep of 6 to 8 hours is advisable. Stress is another silent killer that needs to be managed. Alcohol intake reduction, having a moderate weight, eating healthy meals and drinking sufficient water is ideal. Remember, the secret to longevity and good health is found in your daily routine of diet, lifestyle and hobbies.

Rachel Maria Knight CEO & Founder of TitleSplit.com

Revolutionizing Property Investment I
n the fast-moving world of property investment, where the desire for financial freedom often clashes with the slow pace of portfolio growth, Rachel Maria Knight stands out as a guiding force. As the founder and CEO of TitleSplit.com, she has not only successfully replaced a six-figure corporate salary with property cash flow, but has also paved the way for others to do the same. Knight's journey began in the high-pressure corridors of a demanding corporate role, driven by her dream of generating substantial income through property investment. She started with single buy-to-lets, but soon realized that a more accelerated approach was necessary for her to achieve financial success.
This realization led to the development of the Title Split Strategy, a high-income growth strategy that Knight personally crafted to expedite portfolio growth. The strategy, when implemented correctly, can produce an impressive 25-35% capital uplift, HMO-like cash flow, and a MIMO (Money In Money Out) approach. In addition to providing a steady income stream, it also offers multiple exit strategies for the future. "What drove me to create Title Split was the need for a strategy that could break the slowpaced nature of property portfolio growth. I wanted something that not only generated income efficiently but also added significant value to each deal," Rachel Maria Knight passionately asserts.

Title Split's distinctiveness lies in its simplicity and efficiency. Knight, cognizant of the lack of support for the Freehold-Leasehold strategy in the industry, made it her mission to make Title Split accessible to like-minded developers. Her goal is clear - enabling others to achieve maximum income with minimal effort and sharing in the remarkable capital uplift experienced with each property deal. "Title Split is about more than just financial gains. It's about creating new homes for people, contributing positively to the community through innovative property solutions," Knight reflects.
TitleSplit.com is not merely a training provider; it serves as a catalyst for property professionals seeking to unlock the potential of the Title Split Strategy. The platform offers a Title Split Mastermind, a comprehensive 3-day intensive training either in-person or online. This program equips developers with the knowledge and skills to implement the strategy at the opportune moment, maximizing profits and valuations. "I believe in empowering property professionals with the tools they need to succeed. The Title Split Mastermind is designed to provide
not just knowledge but practical insights into the strategy's implementation," Knight explains. Crucial to TitleSplit.com's success is its team of vetted and experienced Title Split power team members. These professionals are trained to assist developers in every step of the process, ensuring that the strategy aligns with their goals from inception to completion. entrepreneurs the chance to build cash flow and equity for themselves and their families. "At the heart of TitleSplit's mission is the belief that every property, when strategically split, can become a new home for someone. It's about transforming spaces and, in doing so, contributing to the community by addressing housing needs," Rachel Maria Knight passionately emphasizes.

What sets TitleSplit.com apart is not just its innovative strategy but also its accreditation by both the Property Investor Bureau (PIB) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This accreditation solidifies TitleSplit. com as a global leader in providing training for property professionals and enthusiasts alike. The company takes pride in offering a

unique approach that not only benefits property entrepreneurs but also empowers professionals such as solicitors, accountants, mortgage brokers, and others to implement the Title Split strategy for their clients. "We want to be more than just a training provider. We want to be a driving force behind a movement that transforms how we view and utilize properties," Knight asserts. In an era where legislative challenges and fluctuating interest rates pose hurdles for property investors, Title Splitting emerges as a strategic solution. It allows property entrepreneurs to navigate through the complexities, taking advantage of lower Buy-to-Let mortgage interest rates. The philosophy of keeping some and selling some enhances asset management, providing a flexible approach to property investment. "I believe that Title Splitting is not just a strategy for today but a future mainstream approach. With new permitted development rights on the horizon, we are looking at a landscape where more buildings can be split to meet the evolving needs of the market," Knight

predicts. One of the key challenges faced by property investors today is the impact of rising interest rates, particularly on commercial mortgages. Title Splitting, however, presents an extraordinary opportunity to overcome this challenge. By creating smaller saleable units, property entrepreneurs gain access to lower Buy-to-Let mortgage rates, coupled with capital growth from the split value. The ability to recycle money during the refinance process becomes a substantial advantage for long-term property investors. "In the face of challenges, there are opportunities. Title Splitting not only addresses the challenges of today but positions investors for long-term success," Knight affirms.

Redefining Success in Property Investment The common advice to concentrate on either capital growth or cash flow is questioned by Rachel Maria Knight, the visionary behind Title Split, who believes in achieving both for comprehensive financial security. "Why limit ourselves to one aspect when we can have the best of both worlds? Title Splitting enables investors to not only maximize cash flow but also experience substantial capital growth, ensuring both shortterm gains and long-term financial security," Knight asserts. At the forefront of innovation in the UK and global property market,
Title Split is not just adopting change but actively driving it. Collaborating with banks, the company is pushing for product innovation, making strides in creating solutions with property lawyers, and actively participating in shaping the UK property market. "This is an incredibly exciting time to be part of the Title Split strategy. We are not just adapting to changes; we are proactively shaping the future of property investment," Knight expresses. The Title Split Dream Clients, a quarterly closed-group networking event, and the Advanced Title Split Developer program play pivotal roles in fostering collaboration among landlords, developers, and investors. Approximately 100 clients convene quarterly to discuss deals, share innovative insights, stay abreast of new legislation, and collectively work towards enhancing profitability. This client-focused community thrives on trust, with members actively collaborating to elevate profits for each other. "Our community is more than just a network; it's a collective force driving growth and innovation in the property investment landscape. Together, we aim to change the game entirely," Knight affirms. Looking ahead, TitleSplit.com envisions a complete transformation of property investment norms within the next two to five years. The goal is to make the creation of multiple units from single units a mainstream strategy. This vision aligns with recent government budget announcements, including a consultation to allow two apartments in one house. As this development not only provides more homes for people but also promises a 25-35% capital growth for Title Split landlords, the future
looks promising. "We are not just following trends; we are setting them. The landscape of property investment is evolving, and we are leading the charge," Knight shares. Transparency, Teamwork, and the Vision for the Future Openness and honesty are at the forefront of Knight's philosophy as she acknowledges that Title Splitting, while promising exceptional payoffs, is not without its complexities and risks. "I believe in being upfront with our clients. Property investment, including Title Splitting, comes with challenges, and it's crucial to be prepared for market fluctuations and potential risks. Diversifying into the Title Split strategy equips us to tackle obstacles head-on," Knight candidly shares. Juggling roles as a property developer, landlord, CEO, and coach may seem daunting, but Knight emphasizes the pivotal role of her exceptional team. The collaborative spirit within the team is a driving force that contributes to their collective success. Guided by the motto "treat people how you would like to be treated," Knight places immense value on her team, recognizing their contributions to the company's triumphs. "Our success is a shared achievement. The fantastic team I am surrounded by plays a crucial role in balancing the various facets of my role. We work together, share results, and celebrate our victories as one cohesive unit," Knight expresses. A unique aspect of Knight's leadership style is reflected in the team's four-day working week. Every Monday, the team comes together after three days of rest to collaboratively deliver results for their clients. This innovative approach not only enhances work/life balance

n an era defined by rapid technological advancements, business leaders find themselves at the forefront of a digital revolution that is reshaping industries and redefining the very essence of leadership. The digital age has ushered in unprecedented opportunities and challenges, requiring Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), and other CXOs to navigate a complex landscape of technological disruption, innovation, and evolving consumer expectations. In this article, we explore the critical role of leadership in the digital age and the strategies employed by CXOs to successfully navigate transformation challenges. Embracing a Digital Mindset The foundation of successful leadership in the digital age lies in cultivating a digital mindset—a willingness to embrace change, experiment with new technologies, and foster a culture of continuous learning. CXOs who lead with a digital mindset understand that technology is not just a tool but a catalyst for innovation and growth. They actively seek opportunities to leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things to drive efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and stay ahead of the competition. One key aspect of embracing a digital mindset is a commitment to lifelong learning. In a landscape where technology evolves at an unprecedented pace, CXOs must stay informed about the latest trends and innovations. This commitment to learning not only enhances the leader's ability to make informed decisions but also sets the tone for a culture of curiosity and adaptability within the organization.

In a landscape where technology evolves at an unprecedented pace, CXOs must stay informed about the latest trends and innovations
Strategic Alignment and Digital Transformation Successful digital transformation requires a clear and well-defined strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives. CXOs must carefully assess the organization's current state, identify areas for improvement, and articulate a vision for the digital future. This strategic alignment ensures that digital initiatives are not pursued for the sake of technology but are directly linked to the organization's mission and goals. Moreover, CXOs need to foster a collaborative approach to digital transformation. The integration of technology often involves cross-functional collaboration, breaking down silos, and encouraging open communication across departments. Leaders who facilitate collaboration create an environment where diverse perspectives converge to drive innovative solutions. Agility in Decision-Making In the digital age, the ability to make agile and data-driven decisions is a distinguishing factor for effective leadership. CXOs are confronted with an abundance of data generated by various digital channels, and leveraging this data for actionable insights is paramount. Successful leaders invest in analytics capabilities, empowering their teams to extract meaningful information and make informed decisions in real-time. Agility in decision-making also involves a willingness to experiment and embrace a failfast, learn-fast mentality. The digital landscape is inherently dynamic, and leaders must be agile enough to pivot quickly when necessary. This adaptability is not just a response to
challenges but a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities in the everevolving digital ecosystem. Building a Culture of Innovation The digital age thrives on innovation, and CXOs play a pivotal role in cultivating a culture that encourages and rewards creativity. Leaders must champion a mindset that views failure as a stepping stone to success, fostering an environment where employees feel empowered to take risks and explore novel ideas. This culture of innovation extends beyond technology and encompasses new business models, processes, and ways of engaging with customers. To foster innovation, CXOs can implement initiatives such as innovation labs, hackathons, and cross-functional collaboration forums. By providing employees with the space and resources to experiment, leaders can tap into the collective intelligence of their teams and drive continuous improvement. Moreover, celebrating and showcasing successful innovations reinforces the importance of creativity within the organizational DNA. The Human Element in Digital Leadership While technology is a driving force in the digital age, effective leadership remains fundamentally grounded in understanding and connecting with people. CXOs must navigate the delicate balance between technological innovation and the human element, ensuring that digital transformation enhances rather than erodes the employee and customer experience. Leaders who prioritize the human element invest in employee training and development, recognizing that a digitally literate workforce

is essential for success. They also focus on building a customer-centric culture, leveraging technology to understand and respond to evolving customer needs. By prioritizing both employee and customer experiences, leaders can create a sustainable foundation for digital success. Overcoming Resistance to Change Digital transformation often meets resistance from within the organization. Employees may be apprehensive about adopting new technologies or fear that automation will replace their roles. Effective leaders acknowledge these concerns and proactively address them through transparent communication, education, and involvement in the decision-making process. Leadership in the digital age requires a changeready mindset, where resistance is reframed as an opportunity for dialogue and collaboration. By involving employees in the transformation journey, leaders can harness the collective intelligence of their teams and foster a sense of ownership in the digital future.

Conclusion: Charting the Course for Digital Leadership In the digital age, leadership is not defined by a single skill or trait but by a dynamic interplay of qualities that enable CXOs to navigate transformation challenges. Embracing a digital mindset, aligning strategies, making agile decisions, fostering innovation, prioritizing the human element, and overcoming resistance to change are essential components of effective digital leadership. As organizations continue to evolve in the digital landscape, the role of CXOs becomes increasingly pivotal. Leaders who embrace the challenges of the digital age as opportunities for growth and innovation will not only guide their organizations through transformation but will also inspire the next generation of leaders to navigate the ever-changing currents of the digital era. In the pursuit of digital leadership, one thing remains certain: the journey is ongoing, and the leaders who adapt, learn, and lead with purpose will shape the future of business in the digital age.
