I can remember as a kid growing up in West Texas, I had the advantage of having several adults in my life who invested in me and genuinely cared for my well being. In adition to my parents and older siblings, I had a handful of teachers, pastors, and others who took time to intentionally give to me and make deposits into who I would later become.

Investments of time, care, money, and teaching have been a great addition to my life and I am grateful. Over the past 18 years I have had the opportunity to travel around the US as well as internationally and I have relaized more and more how many kids do not grow up with the same type of advantages that I feel I had. Some don’ t have two caring parents, others are missing the support and care from siblings, and still others face far worse circumstances.

Our work through Connect Global over the past 11 years has allowed us to change this reality for thousands of children.

We have been able to invest in their education, support their families, and share with them about the love and compassion of a God who cares deeply for them.

Our teams regulary spend time investing in the next generation and giving to kids what many people lack..

Kindness, compassion, love, and sometimes just a smile and an encouraging word can make all the difference in the life of children who circumstantially may have little to look forward to otherwise.

In the Bible, in the book of Jeremiah, the author and namesake of the book, encourages a group who has survived a treacherous exile by a determined and narcissistic king saying, " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

As I read that I lean into the promise that was made in a time of massive need to a group of people who had no Hope as a promise without expiration. This promise of a Hope and A Future is still just as true today as it was almost 1400 years ago.

This is the same promise we share with the next generation. No matter their start they can and deserve to have a good finish. We choose to not walk past those in need, rather we take every opportunity we have to share with others, meet their needs, and empower them to do the same.

We can provide and should desire a better future for the next generations. We have been given much to steward and care for in our time on Earth and we should want to set up the following generations for success.

I am grateful for the dozens of families who give with connect global every month in order to help make a life changing difference in so many.

We will continue to provide sustainable solutions addressing poverty, food scarcity, lack of education, and maternal & infant mortality. As we continue to make an impact we will also continue to raise up the next generation to do the same.

Thank You for giving with us.

The disciples came to Jesus and asked, “ Who then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? “ He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And He said : “ Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. “
