BETTER COMMUNITY BETTER LIFE: COMMUNITY CULTURE BANDANLANHOI DISTRICI, SUKHOTHAI. Title : Khanom

Statement of problems: Sub District Cuisine.( Khanom Tom.) This recipe call Khanom Tom Khaow. Khanom Tom Khaow is an ancient Thai dessert in Sukothai period and is used in some ceremonies together with Khanom tom Daeng. And I won't talk about Khanom Tom Daeng in this recipe. Khanom Tom Khaow are using flour, sugar, and coconut and flour ball filled with simmered coconut and sugar, cooked and sprinkled with white grated coconut meat which gives it the name "Khamon Tom Khaow.

Objectives: Sub District Cuisine.( Khanom Tom.) - To study about community and community culture of Sukhothai and Bandanlanhoi in topic of Khanom Tom, enables me to develop an understanding of my place within my community and conserve it. - To compare my experience with my friends and learner aboard, specifically in my own community, country. - To use English in order to exchange information and communicate effectively. Plan 1 Study and research the tourist spots of Sukhothai. 2 community culture investigation & survey 3 community cultural branding presentation 4 compare the experience with learner aboard 5 Better Community Better Life presentation and exhibition (at school or community). Process: Sub District Cuisine. (Khanom Tom.) I’ve learnt my community culture in the topic of Namya Khanomjeen and gained more knowledge of The Namya Khanomjeen which is the typical culture of my community.

2.Namya Khanomjeen Cuisine of wangluk community.

Ingradient

1 kg. glutinous rice flour 200 g. rice flour 5 cups water 5 coconuts 2 kg. palm sugar 1/4 kg. maltose syrup 1 tbsp. salt


Direction

1. Grate coconut meat. 2. Mix 1 cup of water with palm sugar. Stir till the sugar dissolves over the heat, add coconut meat. Stir for another 30 minutes. 3. Knead the flour by adding water gradually. 4. Form the dough from step.3 into flat, and round shape. Drop in boiling water. Remove it from the water when it is floating over. Wash with cool water, then put it in the prepared coconut meat.
