BCBL Explaination and Theme Decision 1. Teachers introduce BCBL activity and how to take part in it. 34students 2. III. Visit to Cheng Huang Temple 1. Teachers guide the architecture of temple to students, students take notes and pictures. 2. Teachers lead students into the temple, introduce the ornaments and their meanings, students take notes and pictures. 3. Teachers introduce the god of Cheng Huang Temple and how to worship, students take notes and pictures. Main activities* Activity I. Concepts Integration and Questions Confirmation Questions Guiding: How to transfer the culture of Cheng Huang Temple to concrete works and share its meaning of culture with the people of the world? 1. According to the questions that mentioned by teachers, students try to discuss the concepts of the culture of Cheng Huang Temple, and teachers help them to construct the mind map. 2. Teachers discuss with students the concepts of mind map, and confirm their meanings. II. Face and Solve the Problems 1. According to the mind map, students choose the main concept that they want to present, and bring up the methods to show the concrete meaning of Cheng Huang Temple. Teachers give them some suggestions. 2. Every student chooses a method to present their work. They can do it individually or work together by 2-4 people. III. Works 1. Students spend 4 classes to do their works, and hand in before presentation and feedback. 2. According to the method that present by students, teachers are assigned to instruct. The contents of instruction include the operation of information technology, the suggestions of work presentation, and English expression. 3.Teachers give the assessment rubrics to the students, students have to make sure that if they fit in with the assessment rubrics.(The assessment rubrics as attachment) Plenary / Summary Activity I. Presentation and Feedback 1. Teachers classify students’ works according to their method of creation and give the feedback in written form in advance. 2. Students spend 3-5 minutes to present their works in order. 3. After presentation, teachers give oral feedback and give them the written form to revise. 4. After finishing the activity, students can revise their works according to the feedback and hand in them again.
