Charting a graph. -Teacher gives 2 data from http://www.kosis.kr, http://www.mculture.org about population statistics. -Students don’t show their data to the other group. -Students decide the key with the color of sticky paper. -Students complete the graph with square-shaped sticky paper in their group. -Teacher helps deciding key and making graphs. Presenting their graph and guessing the name of each graph. -The group leader puts their graph on the board. -The other group guesses what the graph represents. -Each group has same number of chances, the faster group will get a point. One shows the changes of citizenship based on their original nationality. The other graph shows the changes of students based on their parents’ nationality.

Interpreting the graph. Talking about the graph in math. -Teacher asks students about the graph in math briefly. -Students read the key and check the graph. Talking about the graph in social studies. -Students discuss about the rapid changes, the problems which might happen, the ideas for solving the problems and more in our community. -While students discuss, teacher makes a note on the board with categorizing. -Teacher trys to elicit students’ opinion relating to the book ‘PEOPLE’. Rewriting the story Telling the story ‘PEOPLE’ again. -Teacher tells story again to bring back students’ memory. (The story is simplified by the teacher to the English level) Rewriting the story -Students discuss what part they will rewrite and take a part of the story. -Students take a paper each then draw and write the story based on what they learned. -Students who finish their work early may make the cover page or help others.
