JANUARY 2017 - ISSUE2 - THE COURIER INSERT hamper or even prevent dreams from becoming a reality. Many people loose focus at this point. They become complacent and take their set back as a place of permanency rather than a temporary place. I’ve known people who had wonderful business ideas but due to circumstances in their life, gave up on their dreams and began working for the dreams of other people. One must look inside and ask themselves if they are working on their own dreams or are they working on the dreams of someone else. Welcome to the second insert of Connections Small Business Journal (CSBJ) in The Courier Eco Latino! So here we are. We are two weeks into the new year. Already, many people who started out the year with countless resolutions have found themselves two weeks into the new year with broken resolutions. Some have stated that they wanted to loose weight, others have talked about going back to school, and yet others have stated that they wanted to start a business. Knowing that we often start out with the best intentions, sometimes just living life can

It is interesting and it almost appears to be something that takes place supernaturally when a dream is birthed in us. Whether it be a dream to start a business, kick a bad habit, or to develop positive relationships the dream is very real and the opposition that will attempt to deter you from achieving the dream is equally as real. Dreams are given to everyone, however everyone for one reason or another do not necessarily achieve their dreams. One of the ways that I have been able to keep my own dreams alive, is by staying focused, remaining steadfast and realizing that my dreams are of equal importance. Even if there is a delay in the pursuit of your dreams, and

PUBLISHER perhaps you find yourself working on someone else’s dream, it is important never to loose sight of the dream that was planted in you. I would encourage you to take at least one single each and every day in the pursuit of your own dream. This step could be the step that a young man took after a conversation with me. This young man took a 15min break, sat at my table at a restaurant. I was able to pour into this young man the importance of his own dream and advised him not to get comfortable with working on someone else’s dream. The step that this young man took was made evident later in the day, when I received an email from him advising me that he had for the first time written down his dream. One step, everyday in the pursuit of your OWN dream. Regardless of where you are in achieving your dream, take a step today. Greg A. JANUARY 2017 - ISSUE2 - THE COURIER INSERT One of the greatest challenges that many small business owners face is the challenge of attracting new visitors to the business website. The process of insuring that there is a steady stream of visitors to your website or online presence is a never-ending process and one that is by all means time consuming at best. So what happens after a visitor or potential customer visits your website and for whatever reason choose not to do business with you at that particular moment? Is that point of contact forever lost? Is that lead trashed into the abyss of missed opportunities? The fact of the matter is that each visitor to your website is not necessarily ready to purchase or even inquire about additional information. The website can be designed perfectly with the appropriate call to actions sprawled throughout the website, and yet still that will not necessarily make that visitor ready to do business with you. Statistics show that once a visitor leaves your website that the chances of them returning are drastically reduced. So in these cases, what do you do? How do you regain and retain top of mind awareness? Re-targeting is the answer to these questions. While the concept of re-targeting will not physically left-click on the buy now button,

the implementation of this concept will increase the chances that your website and thus your products and services remain at the forefront of the minds of potential customers. Re-targeting is the concept and process of advertising directly to the visitors who expressed an interest in your product or service by visiting your website of doing an Internet search on products and services that you provide. Retargeting allows your business to regain and even retain that topof-mind awareness. Re-targeting could potentially strategically display an ad from your business over the course of a month. Marketing statistics have shown that re-targeting can influence ad response by 400%! While re-targeting is a fairly simple concept, it is important to understand the types of retargeting options that are currently available on the market today. These re-targeting options are as follows: Facebook re-targeting, website re-targeting, CRM re-targeting, and dynamic retargeting. Each of these play a very different role, and depending on your business, service or potential customer consideration should be given to which re-targeting method or platform would be most beneficial to your business, service
