Brand Research German clothing brand s.Oliver have been making clothes since 1969, this year celebrating there 50th anniversary. Through the years s.Oliver have expanded becoming an inclusive place to shop. The brand caters for all ages, genders and occasions. s.Oliver womenswear focus on simple shapes with a comfortable fit. They put emphasis on print,embellishment and colour to brighten a simple wardrobe. They are classic, simple and timeless.


The Consumer For women who seek comfort through silhouette and a relaxed fit for there busy day to day life. Pops of print and colour liven up a wardrobe built for comfort. The s.Oliver consumer seek’s convinience which she can find within her favourite brand, from workwear to loungerwer, the brand accomodate for the consumers 24 hour day.

The Muse // 24 Hour Day She wakes up surrounded by floral filled landscapes and greenary. She feeds the animals and walks to an area she see’s fit to paint. Long walks back picking wild flowers along the way, taking in the fresh air and her surroundings. She then jumps on her bike with her basket full to the brim of fresh flowers ready to give to her friends. As the day draws in she paints from her garden studio. With an active lifestlye she needs a loose, comfortable wardrobe that also complements her nature filled surroundings. Timeless pieces with a point of difference is important for her.

Initial idea’s for print and colour choice. Print development on garments to gauge an idea of print placement and size.


Dress with slit down front to free movement during bike rides,layered over a high neck tee. Pockets on belt for easy storage on the go. Gold S.oliver embroidered label on pocket and side seam to celebrate 50 years.

Developing placement of hand painted prints,

Using a variation of pleats and panel placement to create a softer, feminine feel to the garment. Adding sportswear detailing to create a more modern, werable look that fits my consumer’s active day.


Outerwear- Looking at colour, print and silhouette, Adding something heavier to my consumer’s everyday wardrobe.




Off shoulder dress layered over a casual shirt for a softermore ‘laid back’ feel tomatch the personality and needs of my muse. Trialling contrasting prints.
