Amanda’s love for exotic, unique natural ingredients and stories she was told by her parents instilled in her a life-long passion for beauty and fragrance.
Heritage Amanda’s love for exotic, unique and natural ingredients stems from her parents Alan and Elizabeth Connock, who set up the family business, A&E Connock in 1973. Amanda spent her childhood sampling perfumes in her Father’s office and creating floral waters in buckets from rose petals and cherry blossom with her siblings. She was inspired by the untiring work of her father who was a true pioneer of his time travelling extensively in search of unusual and innovative ingredients. After studying a University degree, Amanda joined the family business where she worked closely with her Father and gained valuable knowledge and experience in sourcing and supplying speciality ingredients from around the world to the perfumery and cosmetics industry. Amanda realised there was an opportunity to create a legacy beyond the family business and to develop products using her experience and family heritage in the world of beauty and fragrance. It was from here that Connock London was born.

The Kukui Oil Collection “I instantly fell in love with the Hawaiian Islands – their wild and natural beauty, the warm, softly scented air and the spirit of the people. It was there that I began to develop a passion for fragrance and nature. As a family we went to watch the local women shell Kukui nuts and press the oil from the kernels...� Kukui Oil has outstanding skin-conditioning properties: it is an excellent emollient, highly penetrating to the skin, and it improves skin suppleness and elasticity as well as soothing minor skin irritations. The oil contains very high levels of linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids (essential fatty acids) and provides effective treatment for the symptoms of eczema, psoriasis, dry skin and acne. Kukui Oil has been used by Hawaiians for centuries to keep skin soft and smooth. Traditionally, newborn babies were bathed in the oil as a means of protection from the harsh sun, drying winds and salt water. The Kukui Oil used by Connock London is sourced from a small factory on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. This treasured health and beauty secret is still produced today in the same pure form as it was centuries ago.

The Andiroba Oil Collection Launched in October 2017, the range includes the Eau de Parfum, Candle, Diffuser, Hand & Body Wash and Hand & Body Lotion as well as a Travel Collection and Gift sets. Andiroba Oil is harvested from the seeds of the South American tree and is renowned for it’s anti-inflammatory properties. The Andiroba Oil used by Connock London is sourced from a factory in the Amazonian rainforest in the north of Brazil. The Andiroba seeds are wild-harvested promoting the conservation of the rainforest as well as supporting local forest communities. The fragrance is inspired by the mysterious natural beauty of the tropical Amazonian Rainforest and opens with lush, leafy top notes which are enlivened with citrus accords of Bergamot, Lemon and Brazilian Orange. A rich floral heart of Iris and Violet sits on a deep, earthy base of Cedar and Musk with a touch of Lavender and Peruvian Pink Pepper.
