In 1975 he attended a fine art foundation course at Hornsey College of Arts.
Around this time, London was seeing the rise of punk rock, this was a huge inspiration to brody.
After graduating, Brody worked as an art director for "the face" magazine.
after leaving "the face", he worked for arena magazine.
In 1994 He left Arena Magazine to start his own independent company called "research studios".
Now called "Brody Associates".
Designed 24 font families.

a number of album covers.
His most notable work is a series of pieces he created for fuse.
Fuse is a typographic publication that exhibits unique usage of type and graphics.
there are currently 20 volumes.
He designed movie posters for ocean's Eleven...
and twelve.
His font "new deal" was used in the posters for the movie public enemies.
