FUTURE DIRECTIONS
There is a discount culture in America, and although cheaper goods seem to be for the greater good, they actually harm the very people that they intend to help
Statement By incorporating long-term considerations into the consumer decision-making process, design can elicit and reinforce purchasing patterns based on a high standard of quality in both products and business practices. The revival of a “culture of quality” — as opposed to the current emphasis on low prices — can improve personal spending habits, as well as conditions in the local economy and the environment.

Proposal for an Interface and Database Visual Communications User Experience
FUTURE DIRECTIONS
Proposal Idea Create a database and web interface (built off of Blippy’s system of linking user credit card purchases to a social networking tool) where users contribute content on product performance so that other users can benefit from their experiences.
Proposal Idea The system will compile user purchases and prompt the user to review items:
• Through basic reviews, consumers will provide lifespan of a product, which will be divided by the price paid to get the product’s daily cost
• Visual reviews will function similar to photo tagging on Facebook and would allow us to quantify how many people experienced the same problem
