Palladi Andrea Palladio became famous for being the first one to conceive the Villa as an architectural, economical and social pattern. He expressed his genius mainly in the Villas where, nowadays, it is possible to admire a good part of his work. Among the 23 Villas projected by Palladio, 16 were built around Vicenza. They became famous in Europe and North America as an example of a new method of rural organization. Their historical value has been recognized by the World Heritage of UNESCO.
