Welcome to the CIS Newsletter Data Centres Planned in Ireland Industrial Project Opportunities

Opportunities in the Industrial Sector by Ger Chadwick Welcome to the CIS Newsletter. In this edition I focus on the opportunities within the Industrial sector. Readers of our last newsletter will have noted the 7% increase in planning applications by volume from 2009 to 2010. This bodes well for activity in this sector particularly going into 2012. The evidence for this assertion is backed up by the well publicised growth in the Irish exports sector with expansion and recruitment forecast for 2012 to meet the growth in demand worldwide for Irish produce. Reason would dictate that this sector is likely to see increased construction activity across new build, extension and refurbishment categories. Increasingly we are seeing an interest in information on data centre projects. Below you will find an analysis of data centre projects currently available through our iCIS online service. This hi-tech and high cost sector could potentially provide serious opportunity for Irish companies.
