Emmanuel Audelo Began his career in the graffiti hip hop scene in Mexico City during the 1990's. Developed actions and social networks with the youth in public spaces. His work aims to reduce the stigmas surrounding artists and cultural activities developed in the streets and urban environments, strengthening youth networks to transform public spaces and professionalize urban art. Cofounder of Habitajes: research center for the public space, supporting human rights, gender issues, citizenship, memory, social violence prevention and peace culture.
ETHNIC STUDIES PROFESSOR/ ACADEMIC SENATOR/ MUSICIAN
Jesus Covarrubias Born and raised in Salinas, California. He graduated in Chicano Studies/Music from UC Berkeley, holds a Masters Degree in Education and Teaching Credential from Stanford University and is a PhD candidate at UC Santa Cruz. Professor Covarrubias teaches different courses at the MexicanAmerican Studies Department and Social Sciences Department at San Jose City College and San Jose State University. PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER/ RESEARCH MANAGER FOR IDCS
MICHAEL PALMA International and winning photographer based in the San Francisco Peninsula. Holds a degree in Political Science and History from UC Riverside and a Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the Richard Dischler Photo Workshop, Raul Touzon's Workshop in Oaxaca and his trajectory includes an academic and professional experience with the Nikon School, the National Geographic Society and the Lepp Institute, among others. He is currently developing a long term project of photographic exploration in the Death Valley and documenting the Day of the Dead festivities in Oaxaca, Mexico. His professional career was also developed on research and analysis of information technologies, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.
