Concept Annecy Cosmetics is the story of the convergence of the sports world with cutting edge cosmetic formulations and high-end packaging. Annecy Cosmetics offers a range of products designed for travelers, athletes and adventurers. Our line of compact products was designed to protect and increase comfort in extreme conditions: skiing, hiking, sailing, etc. Annecy Cosmetics is also the first brand of cosmetic products for athletes to offer a certified organic line. Natural and creative, the brand constantly innovates to offer elegant, high-quality and eco-friendly products that respect both the environment and human beings.

Technical innovation, the key to progress in the outdoor sports sector, offers athletes greater well-being and comfort. Yet the creation of new products must not further pollute the environment. At Annecy Cosmetics we therefore design our products to increase athletes’ and travelers’ comfort while still respecting the principle of «producing with less pollution». To minimize our environmental impact, we use local supplies, prefer organic ingredients, and design compact packaging to reduce waste.

Our story The transition from the business of luxury cosmetic packaging design and mold manufacturing to the business of finished cosmetic product manufacturing was made in 2007, when the DJ-Pack company registered the Annecy Cosmetics trademark. In November 2009, the brand’s first products, organic lip balms and solar protection creams, were sold in ski resorts in the Alps.
The DJ-Pack company Founded in 1994, the DJ-Pack company specializes in packaging design and production, in particular for the luxury cosmetic sector. A supplier for prestigious brands such as Estée Lauder, Coty, Chanel, Dior and Victorinox, DJ-Pack rapidly made a name for itself in the luxury sector. After 2000, the context of economic globalization led many customers to relocate their production to China. To face this crisis, DJ-Pack invested in R&D and innovated through simplification, inventing new lipstick mechanisms. Indeed, the arrival of François Salomon as a company shareholder in 2001 and as the director in 2005 allowed the SME to focus on innovation. In 2005, DJ-Pack’s designers presented the «compact lipstick» concept for which 4 international patents were registered. They truly revolutionized lipstick by creating the smallest and least polluting holder in the world and still maintaining the standard 4g lipstick capacity.

The Annecy Cosmetics brand In 2007, François Salomon decided to create the Annecy Cosmetics brand, mainly to make the DJPack company’s innovative packaging more wellknown. Mr. Salomon rapidly realized that there were many possible synergies between cosmetics and the sports sector, a world he knows by heart since the creation of the famous Salomon brand by his father, Georges. He then contacted several well-known French laboratories specializing in solar, organic and medicinal formulations in order to develop his own products. In 2009 he launched the first range of Annecy Cosmetics products, designed for solar protection in extreme mountain conditions. In 2011, he launched a new range of certified organic products to respond to all of the needs expressed by athletes and travelers.
Innovations Formulas using active ingredients from the mountains and the valleys: edelweiss, gentian, violet, honeysuckle, arnica montana, silver fir, wintergreen, mallow, St.-John’s-wort, borage, bilberry, witch hazel, calendula, sesame, etc. Innovative, attractive packaging... The Annecy Cosmetics brand: innovation in cosmetic packaging and formulation. Packaging first of all, with our lipstick, unique in the world, and our lipbox: • Our lipstick is twice as small with the same content, therefore less polluting than a standard lipstick holder. • We also invented the lipbox: a rechargeable lip care accessory containing 2 products in 1. Sustainable innovation here means a longer product lifetime. For our formulations, we take the best active ingredients from the mountains and valleys to create natural, organic products that are both effective and authentic. Thanks to the efforts of the R&D departments at our partner laboratories, our brand is informed of the latest innovations in solar protection, aromatherapy and phytotherapy, essential to help us invent the products of tomorrow and remain at the forefront of technology.

Lip care and protection Solar lip balms to protect one of the most sensitive parts of the body: the lips. When exposed to the sun, lips dry out and burn rapidly. The mucosa of the lips is not the same as that of the face, since it contains less sebaceous and sweat glands, making lips more vulnerable to aggressive outdoor conditions (sun, cold, wind, salt). Sunburned lips are extremely painful and take a long time to heal. We recommend the use of our wide protection solar lip balms when exposed to the sun for a long time: they prevent the skin from drying out and offer protection in extreme conditions.

They’re designed to limit the risk of muscular accidents, soothe during and after exertion, and accelerate recuperation.
