Expo highlights
Here are a few highlights of what’s set to come over the two days of Ealing Business Expo 2022. Make a note of the sessions you’d like to attend, and be ready to join in when we’re live online on Day 1, Monday 7 March, and then meeting up face-to-face on Tuesday 8 March.
MONDAY 10:15-10:45 “Lessons we learned while running our businesses through the pandemic” – panel discussion led by Carlene Bender, Contactus (Ealing Business Expo) The first discussion of Expo 2022 will take a last look back at the pandemic and how it affected us as businesses. Local MP, Rupa Huq is scheduled to join the panel, alongside local businesses who dared to start up – or even keep running – during lockdown.

MONDAY 11:45-12:15 “The Contactus Q&A - Live” – Carlene Bender, celebrating 10 years of Contactus Ealing magazines, interviews Greg Wixted of Britain Loves Baking – From Park Royal with love, Greg Wixted is on a mission to make the experience of baking
Get ready for two days of discussions
accessible to every child in the UK – to “arm the nation’s children with the tools to bake”, he says. Contributed questions welcome (and not just for a recipe for banana bread...).
MONDAY 13:00-13:45 Business Knowledge Sharing breakout rooms This big chunk of the day is designed to get everyone sharing their best ideas about the six topics. It will be set up as fluid breakout rooms, so attendees can easily move from one room to the next. Each panel host will keep track of the discussion and make notes to share afterwards:

TUESDAY 11:15-12:00 “Current affairs affecting our businesses in West London” – panel discussion led by Yuri Bender, Professional Wealth Management magazine, Financial Times Yuri will be bringing a personal angle to the current affairs panel (as he has been keeping in touch with family members in Ukraine) as well as the measured outlook of a journalist writing about finance for over 30 years at the FT.
TUESDAY 12:30-13:00 “Big business helping little business in the borough” – panel discussion led by Carol Sam, Ealing Council Expo sponsors Ealing Council are looking for ways to connect businesses of different sizes together to see how everyone can benefit. This panel is led by the Council’s business growth and inward investment manager.
TUESDAY 13:30-14:00 “Tributes to business women who have inspired us” – panel discussion led by Carlene Bender, Contactus (Ealing Business Expo), celebrating International Women’s Day 2022 This last talk for the event will highlight good memories of interesting and inspiring business women. Bring your own memories and stories to share.
Other highlights not to miss: five (5!) sessions of speed networking; and two Show N’ Tell slots over the two Expo days
