With no shortage of opportunity for exploration, this lush oasis is far from being a quiet desert town. Boasting an active and vibrant arts and culture scene, the Phoenix Art Museum, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, and the acclaimed Heard Museum call Phoenix home, alongside work from today’s contemporary artists. The two-time Super Bowl host is home to nearly every major sport - Cardinal’s football at the University of Phoenix Stadium, baseball at the open-air Chase Field, basketball at Talking Stick Arena, and even NHL hockey at the Gila River Arena – making Phoenix a world-class sporting destination. The Desert Botanical Garden and Butterfly Wonderland showcase a fantastic variety of delicate blooms and winged wonders, while South Mountain offers the rare chance to get a close-up look at ancient petroglyphs with over 50 miles of hiking trails which wind across 16,000 acres.
